You are so brave to wait for occasions to receive charms! It looks lovely! I like a lot of your charms, love the vintage flower spacer! I have three of these.

:)
Thanks. I spent the first year with just one charm. I dont want to just go and fill it up and have them mean nothing other than i think they're pretty. The charms are cheap enough to buy several at a time but all of mine have a special meaning so i love it even more!

That's the beauty of Pandora isn't it? It wouldn't work for me though, my bracelet would still be empty :pout: It's okay, I accept that my husband isn't very thoughtfull (with gifts, not with everything. I once got a cactus for my birthday )
and just buy my own anyway.:tender: Gifts aren't very important where I live.

Your husband is like mine then lol. We live in Canada but he is from Tunisia where most women never get a gift for anything. My husband has only ever bought me one charm and that was the Mr. And Mrs bead. BUt other than that he just gives me money to buy beads lol I get flowers for every occasion and perfume most of the time. It is the thought that counts anyways and I try my hardest to understand the culture he comes from is not like Western culture when it comes to these things.

It is better that way. My first bracelet is filled with meaningful charms representing my family and it always stays the most special and beautiful for me. BEads I bought for bracelets after that are just to be pretty and don't seem as nice to me as the first.

Yeah, you 'get' what I'm saying LOL So, your husband is being very thoughtful in his own opinion, right? You are so right, it's the thought that counts. My husband just feels we buy everything that we need so why buy lots of presents? But he never forgot my birthday and the first thing he does when he wakes up is congratulate me. About a week before he asks if I want anything and in the beginning if I answered he used to ask me to go get it, haha. So now I just say I already bought it or I don't want anything. After 20 years together we both know the deal, we love each other even if we are not perfect, but no one is.

Believe me when I say my collection is a precious to me as yours is to you. I have a lot of respect for the way you do it, but it's not for everyone....Just saying.

I suppose a lot of you here are on vacation, just wanted to wish you a great time :beach: :sunshine: Kind of quite here :crybaby: Just kidding, I'll be okay, just a bit bored :shrugs: When you all get back I will be here to :welcome2: you all :D

Hi ladies, This is my first foray onto the Pandora thread, Ardnas, although I've lurked for some time, looking at the gorgeous pics you all post!

I've just returned from a family beach holiday on the south coast, to rather dire weather, although I did purchase my first Pandora rings yesterday before coming home. Here they are, with my Mulberry Small Bayswater Satchel ...

No vacations for me! There have been some updates to my two tone though, I'll need to take a photo. :)

Hi May, welcome to this thread. You're not a newbe on the purseblog I see :)
I like the rings a lot. Did you have a good time? Can we see your bracelet as well? :D

That would be fun, if you have the time. I'm expecting a smooth purple leather bracelet in the mail today. Can't wait.

Hi Ardnas, thank you for the welcome! :) No, I'm not a Purseblog newbie - just a not-so-closet Mulberry fan! ;)

I had my first Pandora bracelet last year and have been adding bits and bobs since. I'll definitely show you my little collection soon - I've even, rather bizarrely, started buying charms that would suit my DDs, even though I haven't even bought them an actual bracelet yet. I'm worried that the charms will get retired and then I've missed the boat. :( I may get them a leather one, for one or two charms, until they're old enough for the silver bracelets ...

They also could wear the charms on a cord as a necklace, if their arms are too small for bracelets.

The leather bracelets are fun to start with. My daugther has a pink one, it's really cute. She's thirteen now and has a silver one as well, but she still loves to wear the leather one.
