omg so I am so exciteddd I am going to be in Toronto on Oct 21st and I have to take the train plus I have a few hours to kill which means I can go to the pandora store in the royal bank plaza!!! I am sooo freaking excited I am going to buy a bracelet and maybe a charm to commemorate getting into LG fashion week :) any suggestions for a charm that would be appropriate?
Also for the canadians out there what do the bracelets cost here? I don't plan on bringing any plastic with me just cash so I want to make sure I have enough! Pandora isn't sold where I live so if I want one this is my chance to buy one!

ETA: Should I also buy the safety chain too if I am only getting one bead to start, or should I wait until I collect more beads? I probably won't be getting more beads until I go back to Toronto just because the one jewellery store here that does sell pandora they never have anything because they don't have a large selection and they sell out really fast after getting a shipment they need to open an actual store here LOL

I only have one bead too, but i have just bought a safety chain. Yes the clasp is strong, but you never know. You could put the bracelet on & not quite close the clasp right or it will become a little weaker in time. Better to be safe than sorry!

I just want to say I tried the hard boilded egg trick, and it worked like a charm.

What I about to tell you is not for the faint of heart. Read on at your own risk :p

I have mostly Pandora beads on my bracelet. But recently I bought a Chamilia Helping Hand & Open Heart bead (Red Cross charity bead) which I love. But much to my dismay, I realized the "oxidation" on the bead was not oxidation at all. Rather, it was some weird matte black paint.

So after some research online and here, I did the following.

First I soaked the bead in nail polish remover to remove the black paint. I was so nervous about it, but the n/p remover completely took off all the paint, leaving all the silver part really shiny and bright.

Next, I reoxidized the bead using a hard boil egg. To be honest, I didn't think it would work. Boy was I wrong, lol.

Then lastly, I polished the raised surface of bead w/ polishing cloth.

The whole thing took about 90 minutes, but the bead is looking soooo much better.

Where's the Royal bank plaza located? I'm in Toronto on Wed-Friday for a conference and would love to hit it up

Like you, the store where I live doesn't have very much, they still haven't received all the spring bead....

It's been a while since I've done any online shopping for Pandora, but my favorite site Bello Paradiso doesn't include the Pandora items any longer. Anyone know if they are only selling Nomination now?

Hi everyone :D

I've been looking at various websites selling Pandora and found one in the US called Lewis Jewelers that looks promising. I live in Australia and usually use Gilletts but, I found that with the Oz dollar being so strong against the US, it's turned out to be cheaper for me to buy from the US.

So basically I compared prices from gilletts vs Lewis and to buy from Lewis (the exact same items) it turned out to be $35AUD cheaper (even with postage from US added) than buying from gilletts in Oz.

$35 is a saving that I can spend on an extra bead :p

And, it says on the Lewis site that international postage takes 5 days. I'm not quite sure if this is true though.

Is anyone else purchasing international for cheaper prices? Or maybe I'm missing something.... import tax?? lol.. Anyway, thanks for listening, thought some of you may be interested

:shrugs::wonderingCharmingCharms-does the charm pictured in your avatar fit on a Pandora bracelet? It's a troll bead isn't it? It is beautiful, I hope to one day have it that is if it will fit.

How many bracelets do ya'll typically wear at once? It's weird I can safely wear two, but three feels & looks awkward on me even though I'm average size.

I thought I heard that Pandora dealers are not allowed to ship overseas.

Bello Paradiso no longer sells Pandora. They had some kind of dispute with Pandora Jewelry LLC and are no longer allowed to sell Pandora. The same thing happen with 2 of the gifts shops in my town that sold Pandora charms. Pandora pulled their license to sell the charms. Pandora Jewelry want most of their products sold in concept stores where they have a full line of Pandora jewelry, not just the beads.

I have a safety chain on my bracelet, but I don't really like it. I find the clasp on my bracelet to be strong and don't really worry about it falling off. Maybe I'll be sorry some day, I don't know.

Here is a link to a Canadian dealer that I buy from online. Her prices are the same as the prices at both of the local stores I shop at here in Edmonton, so I would think they would be representative of the prices at the store in RBC Plaza in T.O.

thanks for the link!
I was just wondering if the safety chain is a must since now that it's getting cold it's going to be under a winter coat and I would hate to lose it...but if the clasps are strong it should be ok at least until I get more beads.

It's also available on the Elisa Ilana site. It wouldn't surprise me if it was a US exclusive.

What is the deal with the fall beads?? where are they??? I'm starting to go into withdrawal....:wtf::...:sweatdrop:
