Endymoon~ If you decide to take the bracelet back, make sure you remove the beads from your bracelet. Having any other kind of bead on the bracelet makes the Pandora warranty no longer valid. The Chamilia bead on your bracelet could make it so that the store won't replace your bracelet.

I know that the Chamilia bead didn't cause the damage, but there is that blurb in the Pandora book that specifically talks about other company's products.

Yes, definitely - thank you for the reminder. I would end up mailing it in if I do, so it would be plain anyway (tho if I send photos, I'd need to take one of just the pandora charms, lol).

I'm really hoping to hear this is "normal" for how they stretch. I hate to be without it at all. Really though... I just want some new charms! aaaaahhhhh! :P

Wow! Lots of Canadian Pandora fans on here. Nice to "meet" you all. I have a good friend in Ottawa, used to date a guy from North Bay and lived in Oakville for a few years. Not sure if that counts as southern Ontario or not. :)

Where do you folks buy your Pandora stuff? Locally? Online? Or when you travel? So far, I have been trying to shop locally, but I am starting to look for special beads when I travel now. That way, I can have a souvenir and still work on filling my bracelet.

My thinking is that supposedly with the Pandora safety chain, you are still "supposed" to put a clip after the safety chain, before the end of the bracelet. I'm all for balance, so I'd probably want to have a clip on either side of the Pandora clasp... aka [safety / clip / clasp / clip / safety] if that makes any sense.

THANKS!

Personally I would stick with the Pandora system. With mine I did not put a clip after the chain. On the one side there is no way the beads are coming off but I can see where you'd want balance. With the other side, the clasp would have to pop open (you'd probably notice this happening since you'd hear the jangle of things releasing and the bracelet would feel funny on your arm), then the safety chain would have to unravel before a bead falls off... hence my sticking Muranos there instead of a $$$ bead.

Too many clips clutter the look of the bracelet in my opinion. :) But can definitely see why some choose to use them.

*Definitely take your bracelet back and insist they help you out w/replacing it. That is not stretching per se. It's a kink of sorts. :flowers: It looks like the Murano didn't completely cause it... but the angle of the opening on the bead to the right may have put pressure on it. It almost looks beveled. Not sure though.

Endy.. I would bring it in to be checked also... maybe it's normal, but let them see it. Perhaps it's not and you can get a new bracelet.

Jollywa... I was born in Toronto, grew up in Sudbury (near North Bay) and have been in Ottawa for 11 years.
I have bought all my beads locally. I only started with Pandora when my husband bought me the silver bracelet for Mother's Day this year... oh he will eventually regret that purchase! lol
I think it's a great idea to purchase beads while on vacation or travelling... makes them that much more special!

Thanks you guys! Sounds like you are right... I emailed my contact at the store I buy from (online) along w/ the two pictures of the kink...

I must say, I have the BEST Pandora retailer EVER!!! They are going to mail me a replacement bracelet, along with a return shipping label. I just have to send back the old one within 7 days of receiving the replacement.

She said that they do sometimes kink (not sure why). Glad to know what is and is not normal stretching now. Can't wait for my replacement.

And OMG you have NO IDEA how hard it is for me to not add a new charm to that order, LMAO.

No more charms til Christmas... no more charms til Christmas.... :P

Endymoon, the exact same thing happened to my bracelet.. I've had it since May. Only noticed it a month ago when I took all my charms off to rearrange them. :( Its a kink in the middle same as yours.

I have a question, I just ordered a used bracelet off ebay, everything good except the peace sign dangle is not threaded. Looks absolutely identical to the one on the company site and authorized dealers? Help, it is marked too!

Twinklekz - it's definitely a defect. Yours is new enough they should be able to replace it for you. Hopefully your retailer has as EXCELLENT customer service as mine (really, I'm thrilled beyond words... I've read horror stories of other bad Pandora retailers).

I'd contact the place where you got it from - it's still only a few months. If it folds that much, from what my store says, it does happen on occasion.

Same as you - I never would have noticed if I hadn't decided to rearrange my charms. Hope you can get yours replaced!

I had a two tone bracelet a while back that also had a kink in it. Due to the kink I had a hard time even putting the two ends of the bracelet together to close it. I bought mine from a reputable ebay seller who I had bought from before, and she also took it back without question (after I had it for a month) and replaced it for me. So I think you're right that a kink is definitely a defect.

Hi. I have the peace dangle. It is NOT threaded. That's the way it is supposed to be.

I tend to by most of my bead on-line or through e-bay as my local store doesn't have much of a selection

I got almost all of my beads/bracelet online/eBay. It's just so much cheaper. I only bought a couple from the store because I felt bad that I was spending so much time there and hadn't ever bought anything!

Hi everyone!

I just purchased my Pandora bracelet but it did not come with a nice Pandora box like some of you have. Since it is just a jewelry store selling pandora, it only came in a little gift box made of thin cardboard. Is there a way I can get a box to store my bracelet in? Also for the people who don't have a box, how do you store it?
Did anyone purchase the Pandora silver cleaning cloth or will any cleaning cloth work? I have a Tiffany silver cleaning cloth, will that work?

Mine didn't come with a box initially either (got the same cardboard thing you did)... but I had gone back to the same store (ordered online) and purchased 5 more charms within about a month's time, so I emailed them about it, and they sent me a box. Worth a shot if you are buying from the same company all the time. The company I order from generally only sends them out either with the gold bracelet, or if you purchase $200 in a single order. I got lucky and since I spent that much within a month (and asked nicely, LOL) they sent it to me.

It's not for long term storage though - there's a Pandora box you can buy w/ spots for individual charms and multiple bracelets... it cost as much as a charm tho, so I rather just buy a charm and wear the bracelet frequently. :P
