Luvpugs... you just strenghtened my resolve... that gold clasp will be mine! Love your avatar... so cute!!

I was going to add the same thing some of the other FanDora's said! :p

Totally worth it. You will love the little hit of gold it gives... come to think of it, though small it's got a BIG impact.

With my two toned you can't really tell it isn't an all gold bracelet especially since I added gold clips and the gold chain and a couple gold beads. It was a nice way to balance the bracelet and make it a teeny bit more luxe I think.

And thank you for the compliments ladies! My husband looked at my wrist tonight was like, "are WE done yet?!" :D

"Well, sort of... you know." :)

<snip> Question for you seasoned collectors... I only have a sterling bracelet and am really wanting to upgrade to the 14k clasp... is it worth it, <snip> Thanks!

For what it is worth, Sparklemint, I have the silver bracelet, but if I were doing it over again, I would bite the bullet and go for the silver with a gold clasp. I know I will never fill it with gold charms, mostly because silver actually suits my colouring better. I do like the two-tone charms and I think it would look nice to have the gold clasp with the two-tone beads and the odd gold bead.

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted... I've been VERY good and not bought any new charms, but I'm DYING to! LMAO. Still trying to stay strong til Christmas, though... ;)

Anyway, I have 4 silver charms 1 murano and 2 clips on my bracelet which is only just over 1 month old. The murano was my first charm - always worn in the center.

Well this weekend I decided to rearrange them a bit and found that my bracelet has a huge kink in it where the murano was! I have read that the bracelets will stretch over time, but I was surprised to see SUCH a big stretch in just this one spot. I'd be fine w/ the whole center stretching evenly, but just this middle portion is a very excentuated "U"... I suppose I should have taken a picture...

It's very oddly stretched / kinked / whatever in this one spot, and not even capable of being straightened out (feels like it would break if I tried to force it too much). For now, I removed the murano and just have the silver charms... wondering if it'll fix itself after wearing it this way for a while?

Is this normal??? I suppose it makes sense as the murano is larger than the other charms, so if a part of the bracelet would stretch, that would be it (and it's always been in the center spot of the bracelet). I'm just somewhat shocked. Should I just deal with it and know that the rest of the bracelet will eventually even out, or does it sound like a defect? :O

ugh, endymoon. :( I don't know that it can be straightened.... Still, I'd take it in and ask. Maybe they'd even exchange it for you if you ask. It's worth asking! I would. You've only had it for a short while. I bet they'd be willing to help you. :)

*If it feels like it would break if it is forced, I'd be a little worried about loading it with charms. Even with a safety chain in place.

Take it back to where you got it and express your concerns!

Good luck... I'd be surprised if they didn't help you out!

So sorry to hear this:sad: I agree that you should take it in and have it looked at...they may replace it for you. Was the Murano bead tight on the bracelet?

Thanks! I knew it didn't sound right. :(

Of course, the nearest place is an hour away - I've ordered these all online from the nearest retailer, (I just can't see driving an hour each way, kwim?) I think I'll email my contact there a photo to see what she says. I hope I can mail it in so they they can replace rather than try to fix it... and the thought of being w/out it for any period of time... :( <--- addict HA :D

It definitely wasn't tight - I could still fit 3 fingers in the bracelet with these few charms (they were all in the middle section between the two clips). The murano itself slides along as easily as all the other charms.

Hi again,

Just wanted to post a couple pictures, because a picture is worth 1000 words, right?

I'm wondering if I'm not just over-reacting... really, it's not that bad and you certainly can't notice when there are charms on it. But on the other hand, looking at the photos below, you can see the huge difference in the center vs side sections of the bracelet. I just found it to be quite shocking when I saw it... HUGE difference from when it was brand new, LOL.

Here's the center of the bracelet, straightened out as much as possible. You can see actually there's 2 slight bumps - the larger one being where the murano was. That's as straight as I can make it (but of course the left / right sides are as straight as can be).

Here it is showing how curved it can get... the left / right that is as much as it can curve - nice beautiful curve that the center piece used to have as well. Now I can practically bend it in half (when bending it this "way" the other direction won't go that far, of course).

Here's the charms that I had on it (all Pandora except for 1 Chamilia which is a smaller charm, so I know it's not what caused the problem).

Does this look like normal stretching? Maybe as I rearrange and such, the entire bracelet will be as soft as this center piece? Again, this is less than 6 weeks old, and I probably wear it about 2-5 times/week (and never to sleep or for showers, etc.)

Thanks for letting me obsess! I hope I'm just over-reacting, and this is just normal stretching!

Oh... and while I'm at my 20 questions, LOL - I've been re-exploring all of the GORGEOUS photos in the photo thread, and noticed a few pandora's with chamilia charms. My bracelet will have a mix of Pandora and Chamilia, but that's as far as I'll go on mixing beads. :P

ANYWAY - I noticed some Pandora bracelets with Chamilia safety locks on them. Can anyone tell me about how this works? Is it "safe" to do (you know, because Pandora is so anti-all-non-pandora and I think I've read you shouldn't use things like silicone... which the Chamilia safety locks have. How bad can that be, though?

http://chamilia.com/us/en/jewelry/beads?series=md

My thinking is that supposedly with the Pandora safety chain, you are still "supposed" to put a clip after the safety chain, before the end of the bracelet. I'm all for balance, so I'd probably want to have a clip on either side of the Pandora clasp... aka [safety / clip / clasp / clip / safety] if that makes any sense.

BUT with the chamilia safety lock - it seems like the PERFECT solution, as it's a clip (moreso w/ a stopper!) so it won't slide off the threads, right? So instead of wasting the spot of 4 charms, I could just use 2 charm spots w/ these locks. Good theory? (I was reading several people posting on the Pandora Facebook page that they wished they would come out w/ a line of Pandora safety clips instead of the screw on type like what they have now. Seems like since I'm not anti-chamilia, their safety locks will be the perfect solution?

That was the LONG as HECK way to say... has anyone used the Chamilia safety locks on a Pandora bracelet, and do you feel secure with it? :P

THANKS!

Endymoon~ If you decide to take the bracelet back, make sure you remove the beads from your bracelet. Having any other kind of bead on the bracelet makes the Pandora warranty no longer valid. The Chamilia bead on your bracelet could make it so that the store won't replace your bracelet.

I know that the Chamilia bead didn't cause the damage, but there is that blurb in the Pandora book that specifically talks about other company's products.
