Sorry it has taken me so long I was out today to exchange a bead that I had gotten for Christmas. Here is the link to the seller.

I also asked the saleswomen at Jared about the price increase and she did not hear of any such thing and also asked her manager he too said he did not hear of any price increase.

I sure hope that this is not the case. As it is now the solid gold charms are not even worth their weight in gold (no pun intended) Take the case of the Gold crown. The cost of this to make in the weight of gold would be maybe 50.00 dollars and the price is about 715.00 Gold would have to be trading around 6500.00 and oz in order to be worth that price. :faint:

A 20% price increase on a silver piece would be ludicrous. That would mean a 35.00 silver charm would be now 42.00. Silver is trading at around 31.00. This would, I believe be a very foolish move on their part.:nuts: and one I believe would be driven by supply and demand rather then the silver and gold costs.

I purchased a CZ bead last week and i realised it has a dent on it :sad:
so im taking it back this weekend and hoping that they're kind enough to exchange it for me.

maybe you can take yours to your jeweller and ask them about it and compare it with another one of the same bead.

Thanks, sugar.spice, I will do that. Also I think ArmcandyLuvr said that there are slight variations because of them being handmade so I feel better now. :smile1: I'm sure they will exchange the one you have with the dent, since you only bought it last week.

I hope they don't put up the prices here, we are already paying more than other countries eventhough our dollar is now better. It's cheaper to buy from the US, you just have to be careful with the postage! I haven't actually bought any from O/S, but have thought about it a few times.;)

I confirmed the price increase Jan 4 with the store manager over the phone in Houston, TX. When I actually went into the store another associate helped me and said she didn't know when, but that it definitely was going to happen soon. Then the manager came out and said hi to me and asked how I knew. She seemed very surprised that I knew about it, as if it was supposed to be a secret or something. But she did confirm 15% increase on everything...

Price increase huh? And I just started my collection too... I guess I'll be buying more on eBay then...? Seriously... an average of $60 for a silver charm with crystals isn't exactly cheap!

We just had one last year! Bummer! And I've already bought so many beads these last two months for birthdays and Christmas for my cousin, 3 of my friends, and for myself. Oh well!

Can't say i have seen that bead before, you have to be careful of the way things are worded on ebay too.The description says only post in the usa. Something seems a little off for me about it, i may be wrong.

Edit: Had a look on gilletts au & there is that bead, but with a gold core, so there is a good chance there may of been a silver one.

This is not authentic pandora, this style bead was only made in 14kt. Buyer beware BIGTIME!

Thank you, I also saw this bead or something close to it in the gold but did not see this anywhere in the silver. Being new to this I was not sure if this was something prior to my time of collecting.

Here are pics of my bracelets. The first bracelet is my completed 2 toned on a SS bracelet with gold clasp...Although I love it, this is the bracelet I may consider selling (less the gold beads) to save for a gold bracelet.

The second bracelet is the one I started in early Oct. I'ts a 2 toned diamond theme on an oxy bracelet. I'm missing 3 gold spacers, the flower diamond bead (Forget the name) and a gold safety chain...
