I have not bought any beads from ebay yet but there is one red Murano that has caught my eye so I was wondering if maybe it was authentic. I have also not seen it in any store or on line. The person has 100% feedback with 745 transactions. Are there beads released in other countries that are not released here? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm really new with this addiction....LOL Also I see some have a Pandora bracelet box yet I got just a Jared jewelry box. Did you have to ask or is this just from the Pandora store which by the way I only got a little baggie with a charm it in no box.

Can you post a link to the murano? Yes, some different muranos are released in different countries, plus as far as i am aware the football helmet isn't available outside the usa, the enamel Maple leaf released for the winter olympics outside Canada etc. You don't always get a pandora box from official retailers.I have heard that retailers have to buy the boxes in at an extra cost.
Tracky, where do you live? I just heard the price increase is going to be in the UK. The US stores haven't heard of a price increase as of Jan 4. There wasn't a price increase in the UK in 2010, so this is probably why. US had a price increase in March 2010.

20% is ridiculous though. I really hope someone's just got mixed up between the rise in price and the rise in VAT.
I have a feeling it's true though. 20% is silly considering how expensive some of the beads are.If you have a look on the Pandora site, on the business part of the site, it says affordable luxury.Not the way they are going it won't be!

Apparently global rising prices for silver & gold are pushing the prices up too.
I really, really hope beads are not going up 20% & it's just 2.5% up to 20% vat.
Whatever happens, it won't stop us buying beads, but we will have to be more choosy in what we buy & we will be using trusted ebay sellers more.
I agree it seems like prices just keep going up, didn't the Uk have an increase last year too? I suppose yearly is to be expected but not as much as 20% surely? I hope only a few bits go up by as much as 20% otherwise, ouch.

There was a price increase in the UK in 2010. I only started collecting towards the end of 2009 and there has been a price increase since then.

To be honest, I wouldn't put any faith in that website.
If you read the actual blog entries it's all in broken English, and none of it makes any sense. Plus, they keep linking to http://www.pandoras.uk.com/ which is clearly very fake.

The issue is, there are 3 hearts, one is in the middle of its section, the other 2 are not. They are off-centre, if you know what I mean. Is this normal? It has always bothered me a bit.

Hi SydneyGirl, yes i understand what you mean (i'm a little fussy with my charms, i need them perfect, after all, i am paying good money for them).
I've realised that alot of the charms are not perfect, but thats what makes them special, because it give a hand-crafted feel. i read somewhere that they used to be handmade, and so i think thats probably the reason why, but i'm not sure if they're handmade still, although they are handfinished, but im not sure what that involves.
I purchased a CZ bead last week and i realised it has a dent on it
so im taking it back this weekend and hoping that they're kind enough to exchange it for me.
maybe you can take yours to your jeweller and ask them about it and compare it with another one of the same bead.
