Ok--had my chance to shop today--it's kind of overwhelming when you are there faced with all of the beads! I got the double wrap for my daughter, and the single for me, both in black.
Got 8 beads Hedgehog, Chicken little, G, Rose,(for her first name, middle name) Rose/leaf, Green ribbon leaf murano, forget me knot with onyx, and some kind of swirly thing. I went to 2 places, so that I got the ornament, and 2 of the bracelet storage boxes--Score!

I am not sure how to arrange it all. I want to hold some beads back for daughter--thinking of report card coming up, birthday, end of school etc. Maybe I will try some ideas and post pictures, once I am allowed to do so.

I am wondering if I should give the bracelet assembled or have the beads in the storage tray or in the ornament? Did I mention I'm a little overwhelmed? In a good way I think:D

I'm a newbie to Pandora stuff and am looking for some advice.

My daughter has been begging for a Pandora bracelet for a while now and I thought I would make it happen this Christmas.

I'm looking to spend under $500 and am not really sure where to start. I thought this Holiday Wishes completed bracelet (she loves red and xmas) might be a good choice (11th one down - sorry don't know how to post pictures). Has anyone purchased from this retailer before? They seem to have a large collection of Pandora Charms. or do most of you just order on ebay?

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Has anyone tried other brands of charm bracelets and how do they compare?

Thanks!

I personally wouldn't get a bracelet with too many christmas looking charms on, as i guess you can only wear them around christmas (but it's nice too look forward in getting the christmas charms out once a year!) Maybe buy one christmas bead & a couple of other nice beads, and perhaps get a gift voucher for whatever you can afford so you & your daughter can pick beads together in the new year?

Help, Ladies! I feel like I am kind of getting sick of Pandora! Is this possible??? I wonder if it is because sometimes the bracelet seems to get in my way at work (typing, writing, etc.). I found a way to get some nice new beads and not sure if I want to get more. Probably the wrong place to post this, but I am hoping you gals can inspire me again!!!!

I think this one is a nice choice, as only 2 of the beads are strictly "Christmas," and she can add beads on and rearrange as she goes.

I am sorry to hear that. I have my phases. I think the match jewelry, leather bracelets and the new pendant collection got me thru my last bored phase. I love how the pendant doubles as a bracelet charm.

I also sell beads that bore me to make room for more.

Check the picture thread there are pretty tpf bracelets there and a few links to give you new arranging ideas.

I also switch how I wore my bracelet (switched arms) do that and see if that makes you notice and appreciate them more.

Good luck!!! :flowers:

Part of the fun of assembling a Pandora bracelet is shopping and choosing the beads. Assuming that you live where there is reasonably easy access to a Pandora store, I would suggest that you buy her the bracelet and two or three charms that you know she will like - or buy a couple of clips and a special bead. Then give her a gift card and let her build her own bracelet. She will love you for it. If you stick with silver beads and Murano glass beads, you should be able to build a fairly full bracelet for $500. My first one has a lot of beads with cubic zirconia, as well as a few two-tone beads - both types are more expensive, and I figure it cost around $660.

As for where to buy the beads, I recommend buying from an approved Pandora dealer. The prices will be the same, but larger stores will have more selection in stock. Buying on eBay can be very risky, as there are far more knock offs sold on eBay than there are 'real' Pandora beads. That said, I did buy a couple of beads there, but I was worried from the minute I won the auction until they arrived. I am not sure I would buy any on eBay again. (Just my opinion, here, mind you.)

Thanks Using Daddy's $$. I will try your suggestions! It is such an investment and I don't want to lose the love!

This may be a total rambling...but when I see all my beads which I know is around ....$$s, I feel I could have bought a real Diamond stuff or may be a bunch of high end Purses that I keep lemming...or watches....etc..etc..
At times I feel, only I know that I have changed the theme or re-arranged my bracelet. For others who see me wearing it often, think its just the bead bracelet and end up comparing it to some dumb versions.
I think a totally different bracelet would draw in more praises...Something new on hand would be appreciated more than just the re-arranged version..

So, how do I know that I have enough beads to stop buying more??

This is soo Random, but I knw some of you lovely ladies will answer me....:)

Have any of your family or friends bought you any beads? If so, keep them & sell your others to change things up a bit. What about putting beads on a lariat?

I have never purchased from Wilkins & Olander personally, but their a legit retailer if that helps. They have a couple of stores in Northeast Wisconsin where I live. They actually provide clothing for the local new anchors.
