I read that same article yesterday and I didn't like it when it was mentioned that the reason why designer logos are shrinking is because "it's no longer ok to appear superficial" like that's our only reason we buy designer things? I think the author is absolutely clueless about the industry.

I live in a town where you seldom see LV so who am I impressing? No one but myself!

Yes, it definitely said that LV was the remaining strong logo. That Damier was catching up though. BUT, if you really question the mono logo and if it's going out of style, go to ebay and type Louis Vuitton trunk. You will find the logo on trunks 100 years old. That's a timeless logo.
