The vegetable tanned leather scratches more than the calf in my opinion. But i did notice that the calf’s color flakes (if that makes sense) the edges of the bag usually scuffs and reveals a white fabric. I find the vegetable tanned leather easier to take care of cause i can buff the scratches out. That’s my experience, at least. For the mini bucket, do you feel the vegetable tanned leather is stiffer than the calf? I know calf scratches fairly easily, so I am also wondering if one holds up a bit better than the other. Thanks!

I have both mini and regular sized bucket. i use the mini when i don’t have to take a lot of things with me and the regular when i travel.Looking at options on ebay and it seems the resale value on the MG bucket bags isn't very good (1/2 the retail price for good condition bags), so it's the perfect preloved item to buy. Since I'm a MG newbie, can I ask everyone's preferences on size of the bag? Ebay is flooded with large and mini mini's, so I'm thinking of going with the large so i can use it as a work tote. Also, how does the saffiano wear? It seems to be nearly industructable compared to their veg tanned.
