Here's my story: After searching for a Graffiti Speedy for two years, I was unable to find one in my price range in the condition I desired. So I looked into vachetta replacement and decided that was the way to revitalize a well loved bag. After finding him on eBay, I dropped him off at my boutique. Three weeks later, he was back and stunning. Here are the before and after pics.

Hopefully this Graffiti Speedy's story can inspire others to breath some life back into a forgotten LV.
The replaced vachetta makes the bag look great and like new.
Some people go to a lot of effort to keep it like that,
I prefer the lovely tan of the aged patina as long as it is not cracked and dried.

Its inspiring to see all of your rehab bag.
So I make up my mind to give my Trouville a spa.

Here is some before and after picture of it.
There is some black mold inside the pocket of the bag which i didnt able to take photos of.
I am now pretty satisfied with the results and is only waiting for the leather conditioner to arrived and apply.

The only thing that I cant fix is the musty smell.:push:
I am trying everything I could from Coffee ground to dehumidifier.
Its still there. So i am now still finding way.I wonder why its so hard to go away.

I lost the key, so i had it to unlock it at the boutique .

The left one is not cleaned yet, you can see its a little darker and shinier.. I hope the shine would come back after the conditioner.

She looks great! There are bags on EBay called Smelleze and they are fabulous. I bought one for cigarette smoke put it in my bag and they in a plastic bag for 10 days and the smoke smell was gone. Also bought the ones for the musty smell in my basement and they worked like a charm too. They cost $20 each, but are reusable and I consider money well spent.

Hi, chowlover,
Thank you so much for your compliment.
I shall grab that from eBay and have a try. Right now I have give up all method and decide to just let it air at the window and get some sun during the sunny day.
Hopefully the UV could do some job there. 😆😆

Wow Jeins your bag looks amazing! What did you use on the handles?

Question: When reading around here, people seem to mention using ME on the vachetta. What is ME? :thinkin:

Hi skyrocket.
Thank you very much.
I use just the baby wipes for sensitive baby skin type.
It does remove a lot of residue. I cleaned it with more than 10 wipes to make it look even and clean.
HOWEVER, many claims that it dries out the vachetta. As you can see from one of my photo, the right side handle lost its shine. I am ok with it. I am just trying to condition it back.

I am not quite sure with the ME product you mentioned. Maybe you you quote it so I can have an idea of it ?
😊

** *could it be "Magic Eraser" that you your talking about ? ***

Great job!!! It looks great, especially the hardware. After applying the conditioner, let it dry about 15 min. and buff really good with a dry towel or cloth, and the shine will come back.
