Actually, it would be more :

Hermès = Air-Messs
Louis Vuitton = Lou-E Vuuu-E-Ton (the "n" does not have to be pronounced, it is not like in "Boston", it just changes the prononciation of the "o" maybe more like in "Montreal")

I wouldn't say funny in my case, but I feel fortunate to be able to pronounce the names properly. Now, if only I could get as good in some of the other languages I speak.
