Wow, this is really helpful. I called up LV and wanted to get a long strap for my pochette and I pronounced it the italian way with hard "ch". The SA was like, "sorry, I don't understand you". And I had to keep saying it in different ways... embarrassing!

I'm still confused how you pronounce Damier.. what other confusing terms that are easily mispronounced? I say Damier like Dah mear.. something like that? I heard it's Dah me ah?
