Has anyone seen the Compact size in real life? Is the leather stiffer than the smooth calfskin?

I saw this colour Purple Fog on 24s, it's not even on the Loewe site yet. With updated price I guess... but fell in love as it reminds me of an H colour I missed out on (Glycine). Has anyone seen or even bought it?

I'm not too much of a fan of the Loewe writing on the strap though. I prefer their low key and actually esthetically pleasing anagram logo or none at all.

Yes the satin calf is stiffer and smoother than the classic or grained leather. It almost feels like plastic. Size is in between the mini and the small. I hope they’d continue making this size in the grained n classic leather. The color is new for ss23.

Thank you! I was able to view it in person recently despite its official launch being later.

The colour is purple grey, more grey under daylight. Agree about the plastic look. The one I saw already had wrinkles in the corner and under the handle despite being brand new. Too bad it’s not in the smooth calf.

I also prefer the proportions of the small and the extra capacity.

I’m just not a fan of the satin calf. IMO, just do it in the usual leathers already! I’m petite so I prefer this compact size. Too bad it didnt work for you.

The small Hammock in classic calf sand colour disappeared from the website. Only black and tan left. I have the feeling they are phasing out the classic calf in small size
I’ve never seen the small sand in classic calf. It’s always been sand in grained leather no? i only remember seeing it in grained leather. :confused1::hrmm:

I only ever saw it online. The Lisbon store SA offered to order it in for me, but would have had to pay in full first, so I didn't take the option. Would have been able to return, but not gonna do that for an item I wanted to view only first. Still have the pic in my Pinterest wishlist. The hardware is gold, even if a bit difficult to see in the pic. The grained leather has silver HW.

Wow! I like it! I’ve never seen it before. I wonder if perhaps it’s an older model that’s been discontinued? Hmm…

Hello hammock owners, how difficult is it really with such an open bag? Does anyone use an insert like a drawstring bag inside to help contain things? I'm rather clumsy but I have a very big crush on the hammock.

I ended up letting my hammock go because of this. I was just too paranoid to be walking around like that. I had a bag organizer even but its still quite open. I love the look and design but it is just not a safe design for me especially when worn crossbody. It didnt end up being used that much but just sitting beautifully on my shelf

Not at all difficult.

When wearing it crossbody, it isn‘t gaping open, when worn folded by the handles you can‘t get in anyway.

When wearing crossbody and I want it safer, I just put something on the top. When I traveled with it, e.g. I used a scarf or a pullover I had with me. Of course you still need to be more careful as with a zipped bag, e.g. when in crowded places. But I was never afraid I get pickpocketed and I use public transport because I don‘t have a driver‘s licence.

It probably depends on your type. I am not paranoid about open bags. You also need to be careful with closed bags, even if it is more difficult to pickpocket here.

About insert. No insert as it would be challenging to fold it I am afraid and I like the extra space (hate mini bags).

One thing though. Because of the opening, if you put in on the floor as I did on a flight (yes I put my bags ob the floor, when it is not dirty - I now some will say floor is always dirty…), it might turn over. You have to be careful how you put it on the floor or desk that it does not fall over.

@lucyfern I agree with everything @fettfleck said above. I find the Hammock very easy to use. When crossbody, unless the bag is full, it clings to the body and the opening automatically shuts closed. When worn on the shoulder - yeah, you could put sth on top. Re an insert: you actually could use a soft string bag (even a dustbag), esp. for smaller stuff - both for the peace of mind and to keep the lining cleaner
