Oh wow, where did you get that toe box stretcher?

I actually got the stretcher at Ross for $8. They are called the Stretch Genie and are one of those "as seen on TV" products. You can find them on Amazon for about the same price. Comes with a bottle of rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle but as I mentioned before I used a cotton swab to apply. They really do work though!

i am not sure if this is written already

I bought a bibi in brown suede.
it was painful at first because my feet are pretty wide, so what i did is i stuffed ziplock with water and freeze it overnight. the ice will expand the shoes.

i know its kind of gross putting your shoes in the freezer, but it worked wonders for me!:smile1:

I have heard and seen this trick on YouTube, but was wondering if it does not damage the shoes at all?
Any kind of leather including kid, suede, patent, exotics etc? Do you put the ziplock with water in the toe box then just put the shoes in the freezer as is or do you put something over the shoes for protection?

no, i didn't put any protection at all.
my shoes are still fine, no damage or anything.

but then again, i only tried it with my suede bibi so i dont dare to say if it will work on other materials.

I am new to this forum. So any help is appreciated. I got my first bianca (patent) last January as my birthday gift from hubby. It was such a mistake to think my wide toes would in those tiny shoes. Partly the sales person convinced me the size was perfect and it would stretch a lot. I am very sad that I can't wear them. I barely (with extreme pain) wore them 2-3 times all for sit-down dinners. So, I really didn't walk in them more than 5 mins. even so the pain was unbearable. And now I have bunion problem on my left foot. I tried it on yesterday for like 2 seconds and couldn't take the pain. I don't know what to do. I even took them to a store approved cobbler but no help. Should I sell them? Should I keep them as a souvenir? Help?

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! Painfully tight shoes are the worst 😔. Have you tried on any of the tips posted here? I found that folding socks around my toes and blasting the shoes with a hairdryer works pretty well. I imagine the freezer bag/ice trick would stretch them quite a bit and save your feet the pain, but I've been a wee bit too scared to try it myself (don't think I even have room in my freezer to... haha). I noticed that you have to be a bit persistent with patent, I had to 'blow dry' them a few times as the patent seemed to 're-shape' itself if I hadn't worn them for a while after my initial stretching attempts. Hopefully they will stretch for you! But, if you don't think they'll ever fit then you could sell them and size up? Alternatively, you could, as you say, keep them as a souvenir... I keep my favourite ones in boxes for fear of ruining them, probably a waste but I just like to have them

Vaseline and heat girl. If your shoes is patent, you can apply them quite generously on your feet, toes, wherever it is tight as well as on your heels a bit. Blast the inside of the toe box with a hair dryer to warm it up and slip them on and wear them around as long as you can bear. Usually, shoes do mold to our feet from our body oil and heat, but this speeds up the process. You might have to do it a few times, but it works like a charm. After all, leather makers (bags, shoes etc) use oil and heat to mold them into shape.
Persevere girl!!! Good luck!!!

I know this is a CL thread, but I was hoping maybe someone could answer a question about the Valentino rockstud sandals  I am a size 39.5 in Valentinos, but I was able to find these sandals on sale in a 39. It was the last pair, and I figured a half size isn't that big of a deal. The 39s fit a little tight in the non-adjustable straps. Could I use this sock trick to stretch them out? has anyone had success stretching out straps on sandals? i'm assuming the alcohol isn't a good option here bc they are so open and the alcohol could potentially stain them?

Hi,
I have several pairs of rockstuds and I can tell you for sure that there is no way these can be stretched. If they were closed toe, it would be a little easier.

Don't give up on them ! I too have the most terrible shaped feet UK size 3-4 s bunions hammered toes etc and most designer pumps don't fit me , like other's I stretch mine and find heat from air blower and if you roll up some kitchen tin foil hard into a ball about the same size as your bunion put it inside a sock and push is as hard as you can into the toe box ,heat the shoe and let it cool down for a hour , try them on you might find you need to do it again but amazingly I stretched a pigallie 120 so my bunion was some how in the shoe ☺
