Kardashian TV also motivated him to earn his first individual award career of his NBA career last year. I think it's all about his motivation.

I have a question regarding his filming duties: Does he film on game days now? I remember that he said he never shot on game days when he was still with the Lakers...

Ah double talking Carlise. I remember you fondly from when you coached my Pistons for years where we could never be believe what you said to the press.

About time he benched Lamar.

He must have really pissed Carlisle off. When Brian Cardinal is playing before you, there's a problem.

Good game so far though.

The Knicks lost so my BF is here pouting + doesn't want to go out so i'm happy this is at least entertaining.

Again, that all sounds good unless you’ve been courtside watching how much the Mavericks have tried to feature Odom only to watch him pass up open shots, jog back on defense and generally act like a guy who wants to be anywhere else but on the basketball court. It’s been so bad lately that Rick Carlisle actually turned to Odom’s wife in the stands during a recent home game and asked: “How do I make him shoot?” Odom had just passed up his third or fourth wide open shot.

It’s Odom who doesn’t seem to be up for doing any of those things . . .and that’s why the boo birds have been letting him have it. Mavericks fans aren’t accustomed to seeing someone who merely goes through the motions get minutes under Rick Carlisle, and you have to wonder how much longer he will be afforded that rare luxury.

Per Bill Ingram

Only source reporting (and it is HW who are shaky) so grain of salt but he is based in DAL. SMH if true. Looking prophetic with the 2nd bolded though

The mavs got blown out by the spurs who were without they leading man, Tony Parker. Guess, it is not all L.O's fault the mavs sucks.

I have mixed feelings about Lamar. I kinda feel sorry for him, leaving a team like LA where he was an integral part of the team and they stuck together and having to be added as an extra to the mavs who are so disorganized. At the same time, he should have made his career more important than the stupid Kardashian shows.

Lamar is useless either way though. They got smacked around by another top team when he was playing. SAS has no problem beating teams without Tony as they've shown.

The Mavs main issue IMO is they are solely missing Tyson + JJ. It's not not having Lamar that's the problem, it's not having someone to replace the spark plug they lost or that defensive presence. Lamar could be that spark plug, but he sucks right now. To me they aren't disorganized, they are hurting because Cuban decided free agency was more important than keeping that championship team together. He let everybody go, TC, JJ, CB, etc.

While the LAL system may have been perfect for LO, he has played on other teams + he's not some kid in his first years in the NBA. At this point it's on him to figure out. The DAL FO has extended as much (and more than most) professional courtesy as they can.

^The whole season has been an embarassement for him, nothing new.

I beg to differ. The spurs outrebounded them 54-34. This is where Lamar could have helped. He grabbed 9 rebounds against the nuggets and he had been playing decent defense up until the LA game (which the mavs were losing from the get-go). His shots weren't falling but he was hustling in every other aspects, moving the ball, rebounding, blocking, he was a factor in their last 4 wins.

The Nugs are not a really all that great though + generally speaking his rebounding has sucked pretty much all season. I don't think Lamar would've made any major dent in that differential this game.

We def have to agree to disagree here. I see him jogging on defense, passing up shots, + generally looking un interested + apathetic. I can probably name on one hand the games he looked like he was trying (one recently + i haven't seen every game but a good chunk). And if LAL is a sure loss then so is SAS. They are above the Lakers in the standings.

Sad, but very true.

The Lakers are a better team especially after their recent transactions.

I am not saying Lamar has been a factor in the season as a whole but he was getting better and was a factor in their last 4 wins. The score sheet doesnt show everything but just his presence and able to move the ball helped the team. He could have been a factor tonight. The Lakers game was a set back but he was looking a little more like his old self prior to that game.

The mavs could use the lamar that average 15 pts, 9 rbs, 5 assists and plays good inside defense right now.
