JKP, I love your First Princess and can see why you would've been happy with her alone if she was a smaller size! But as jade karma would have it, she wasn't meant to be your one and only as your family photos have attested to LOL! Thanks for sharing your jade family - it's always a pleasure to see them!

Gorgeous stack crosso, and that beaded bracelet's colors are a perfect transition from one bangle to the other! Your little sunny happy Buddha is so cute and how can one not smile looking at it!

Thanks for sharing your amazing pendants GS!

King, thanks for sharing that link about the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace and you must be very proud that it'll reside permanently in your home country! I can't believe I've not heard about it until now and will keep my eyes open for a chance to see it someday while it's on tour! Those who are able to see it in person must be awestruck beyond words whether one is a Buddhist or not, jade lover or not!

You are most welcome, Jade4me! And thank YOU! After all, it was you who first mentioned the Peace Buddha to me first! And yes, I am proud that Australia will be its home. It's in another state but hopefully one day I may be able to visit. Funny story, when I clicked on the video and heard the guy speak, I thought, "Hang on, this guy's Aussie!", lol there's no mistaking that accent! And what a beautiful rich colour and lustre the artisans achieved. Wow!!!!

Wow!!! Somehow missed this post earlier. What an amazing work of art! Would love to see this in person!

Isn't it just magnificent, Crosso!!!!! It was Jade4Me that first mentioned the Peace Buddha to me! The shear mind boggling size of the Boulder and then to see the finished product! If I'd known earlier about it, I would have loved to have purchased one of the little 'chips' he was talking about that they polished and sold off to help raise funds. What a history it would have behind it!!! I was talking to my husband about it and said, how nice it would be to have one of those pieces which he agreed but said he thought that it would now be difficult to get a 'genuine' piece being so far down the track and he said, there would probably be a lot of scammers out there that would be selling a lot of fake pieces, sigh.

Silver Mom, this weather is crazy... it's been awhile since it's been this cold for this long! I know we get made fun of for complaining because it's not snowing, but us Hawaii folk are not equipped for the cold. We don't have the right clothing and our houses are not properly insulated.

And okay jadies... dilemma. I took a chance and purchased a pretty carved bangle. I'm fairly sure it is grade A, and it has nice color/translucency but it has major internal fractures. Listing said "no cracks", but they are surface reaching in one case. Return? Try to negotiate a partial refund? I would probably need to get this one braced to feel comfortable wearing it.

These are all my photos... all photos under natural light.

Here's a few to show off translucency and coloring.

You got that right JKP we are not equiped..... even Mochi is cold. About your bangle, with all those surface cracks I think I would return it. It is very beautiful though.

Hate to say it, but I agree with Silver Mom, JKP. It's such a pretty bangle, but the surface cracks do not look so small. I would worry about wearing this too. Can't believe the seller advertised this as having no cracks! Do you mind saying where you bought from or posting some feedback to the seller thread? This sort of thing is good to know about a seller. While some people might want to take a chance on a pretty bangle with cracks/flaws for the right price, others might prefer to avoid altogether.

And here are the flaws... I soaked her in olive oil briefly after this and she doesn't look as dry and the flaws are minimized, but still....

Agree with SM and Crosso, but if you were to keep it, it needs to be banded up, hope it didn't cost you too much.

Thanks ladies! I think I will be returning it... It was a great price, even considering the flaws. I might have purchased even if they had been disclosed, but then it would have been expected... like when I bought Rice. It is still my intention to get Rice tested and then band her.

You all know my love of princesses, this is not an easy return.... she's a thinner princess and the carving is very delicate and feminine and suits the bangle and hides the flaws well. If she had been a smaller diameter, I would have kept her, but she's probably a 54-58 and I would bang her around too much.

I guess it's off to the post office this afternoon!

Weather looks a little nicer to today, but still cold... looks like I'm actually bringing a jacket and wearing shoes today! lol

Quiet monday.... I'm still under the weather and it's cold... brrr!

Here's a mod shot of my bead earrings. They are bigger than I expected, but a nice size I guess since I'm older, too. lol
