Tangle's weave with mousse GM:

I tie it slightly differently. I fold the scarf side-to-side first (because the GMs are too large otherwise), then double it over. Put that behind your neck, you should now have a loop over one shoulder and two ends over the other. Twist the looped end once so that you have a figure 8. Thread one loose end through the lower hole of the figure 8 and the other the upper.

This is how I almost always wear a carre. I start in the front and take the ends round the back of my neck. I then bring the ends back forward and secure them with a scarf ring.

It looks more complicated than it is, but it's really another lazy scarf tying method in disguise!

1. Step 1: drape the scarf around your neck with tails hanging down

2. Step 2: Tie a simple "loop knot" (I think of it as a half-knot) near your neck (so far, so good, right?)
attachment.php

3. Step 3: Grab and pinch the "tails" about midway down on the edges facing each other in the center

4. Step 4: Beginning with the fabric that you "pinched" in Step 3, slide the scarf ring on and start pushing towards your neck. Keep holding the original pinched ends in one hand away from you as you push the scarf ring towards you.

Step 5: Slide the scarf ring towards your neck

Step 6: Keep on sliding . . .

Step 7: When it is up next to the original "half knot", you're done!

Step 8: Play with the pleats and poof it out to your satisfaction.

Step 9: Walk around all day with a smile on your face as you enjoy the compliments you receive on your beautiful scarf!

scarves as tops.....

I think any necklace will do....just experiment! It adds length to the scarf for long torsos. I also wear a strapless top under it but some are daring...
...and a jacket looks good under.

basically...here are the steps.

1. put the necklace you want to use on....

2. take opposite ends of the scarf

3. bring one end behind the necklace

4. bring the end behind the necklace together with the opposite end not behind the scarf

5. tie a double knot..and leave 1.5-2 inches above the knot to tuck in

6. tuck in the knot behind the necklace

7. take the ends not in a knot and tie behind back

I love wearing a pocket square like shown in the picture. I learned how to tie it like this from a thread here on tPF from several months ago.
