Alice Shirley's animal eyes are the best! I swoon at all of my AS scarves. Those eyes are captivating! I already know that I will want the 140, but I may have to purchase a 90, too in this design. I missed Dallet's Les Giraffes 140 from eons ago. The year the shawl came out in that one, I purchased my beloved pink/turquoise Kachinas shawl instead. I am so excited to have a giraffe in my collection!!! I hope these reach my store around Christmas!

Aieeee contrary to other posters I find these CWs are to be eyesores!
Which, if my track record with BdG Shadow is any indication, means I'm going to do a 180 and end up buying all of them

 It’s true about Brides de Gala Shadow , I knew there would be a reversal of fortune for her because whatever folk may say , the original design is iconic for a reason , it ties brilliantly, is utterly simple and very dynamic.
I’m afraid I don’t feel the same this time because I find it so static , but I’m not into A S and I know many love her creations and look great in them.

I've never been interested by any Alice Shirley designs, just not my cup of tea.

I like some of her pieces, kind of on both ends of the spectrum. Her super-close-up mens' 100s I find witty in a geeky way. Her big-view landscapes (Jardin Anglais, UtW) I find charming and painterly and I love discovering all the details. The stuff in the middle, where there's a central animal and not much sense of space around it (Mountain Zebra), isn't so interesting to me.

I don't find giraffes interesting, but I am amused by their clever posing evoking the Three Graces in classical art.
