Okay, I’m sold. Maybe I can buy some appetizer plates to start off. And, I’m also hungry for pasta all of a sudden! Thank you:P:heart::biggrin::flowers:

ETA: one doesn’t have to have the H of everything. We’re tired of waiting for years for H oxymore, and didn’t want to go through the aggravation of having to plan another order, so went across the street to Baccarat to buy glasses in stock
and some Bernardaud platters that will be shipped immediately.
Yup, other people make good stuff too :graucho:

…and me, having just loaded up on Morganthal eyeglasses, will not be looking at the Maison Bonnet website any time soon

I’ve been stumped by this challenge because it depends so much on how you view Hermes. Is it very expensive (relatively) mass production or very niche and artisanal? And additionally, personal style is a factor.

I think the Vitamix blender is the Hermes bag of blenders. Built to last (I’ve never had to repair mine so I can’t really speak to ‘spa’ services) and aesthetically pleasing as far as these things go, especially since they added the under-counter sized container.

Would you say Van Cleef & Arpels is the H of jewelry, as well? That definitely seems to be the uniform - Chanel ready to wear, H bag, VC&A jewels.

Oh, and what's the H of watchmakers - Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin?
I’m not @horselove ,
But the H of watchmakers is Alange, now conveniently across the street from H Madison

@textilegirl , which vitamix model? Pls

Likely blondes or brunettes depending upon what part of the country one lives in & probably the same in Europe as well as other parts of the world.
I'm a brunette with tortoise highlights (east coast) which I maintain with Leonor Greyl hair products including Masque Quintessence, L'Huile pre-shampoo treatment oil & alternate with several of their shampoos as well as Tweaked hair products which after experimenting with many including
Kerastase, Olaplex & Oribe, these just work well for me, JMO
When I'm in Paris I especially love a deep conditioning treatment & hair scalp massage. As far as styling goes, chin length no bangs & the option to pull it back into a chignon, starting to see here wavy & longer layer lengths.
In spite of being a minimalist in dressing, nothing like the La Bouche Rouge Anja Red lip
And of course @NotoriousPink who just speaks for herself with her color!!
Oh my heart!!! :hugs:  Thank you!!!

I may have forgotten to mention to everyone (anyone) that I have changed my hair color - I’m now a platinum blonde. :girlshocked: The lighter color makes pretty much everything easier (neutrals now look fabulous; nothing clashes with my hair :sweatdrop: ) but it also shows every single issue I have with my hair.

I am in complete agreement with you on the hair products: those are exactly the brands I would recommend, + the K18 mask and oil. I often layer different treatments on my hair (especially before I go into my Bikram class, I will layer on a mask and oil; lately it’s been the Kerastase and/or K18, but next month I will switch to the Oribe and/or Olaplex). I don’t know if one can necessarily say one line is better than the other: Kerastase is a much bigger line than the others, but I think the treatments are equally good, and you really shouldn’t only use one product all the time and need to switch it around.

I do the same with skincare - lately I’ve been using all Sisley, too, which is wonderful, and I alternate with Nanette de Gaspe, layering in certain products by Natura Bisse and Augustinus Bader.

At the moment I’d say Dos Artes is like the Hermès of tequila (hey, I’m on a waitlist for their Reserva Especial).

Would Roche-Bobois be the Hermès of modern furniture? I kind of need a bubble couch in my life…

Scalamandre is probably the Hermès of wallpaper & fabric (although I prefer Graham & Brown or Coordonnè).

Holbein is definitely the Hermès of colored pencils.

ETA: I had a dear colleague who made hot soup for her husband for the last months of his life. The soup comes out of the blender hot; the motor is extremely efficient. Another made all of her baby’s food with hers. Gotta love that.

I personally love K18. Olaplex is fine, but I prefer Curlsmith's Bond Curl Rehab Salve (not exclusively for curls). Curlsmith isn't the H of curly hair care per se, but I'd recommend trying it if you're switching around your treatments!

Let me tell you, their Mah Jong sofa is really something else!

They are spectacular. Was on vacation and saw them on display. Patiently awaiting my set. Did a mix of colors. I love all things chinoiserie.
The beautiful Oriente Italiano is also my absolute favourite tableware! Nothing beats it. And the real beauty is that you can mix and match all their different collections. I also love that they are not stuffy although super luxurious, they encourage you to use them as everyday plates... love it

+1 on K18. I have a very sensitive scalp and react to most products, but K18 is fabulous.

Can’t wait to see blonde!!! I’m sure it looks amazing! Wallpaper is and also for handmade Gracie (back to my chinoiserie addiction)
Would LOVE to see pics of your set please if you are so inclined. I love to mix too.
Will post as soon as they come in. Since I did my kitchen I finally have a place to display my place settings. (I mix fancy with casual)

Exactly this! I was tired of waiting at H and I need a set of 16 (really 12 but some always break) the plates are exquisite and fun.
