Joining the ML club! I put it on my wishlist slightly over a year ago and I never mentioned about it because I thought it is impossible to get. But my sweet SA finally proposed the one for me 😭 My SA said that it is harder than bk.

My receipt says mini Lindy and the strap length is around 97cm, so I guess it is the original version. I’m 5’3” and it perfectly fits cross body.

Do you guys mind sharing how long you waited for mini Lindy from your SA?

I waited 6 months and am in UK. SA advised that they are such a popular bag and they hadn’t had many in store which was backed up by me not seeing them on display for the whole time I was waiting for one. The day I go in and see one on display was the day they said they had a surprise for me!

9 months, but it wasn’t on my wishlist. I wanted a Rose Sakura bag, and was interested in a Bolide more. But my SA saw that the mini Lindy was in my fav color and offered to me to see if I was interested and I said yes Prespend was a bit more than 1:1 and I’m in the US.

I think the new Mini Lindy on the shoulders is a really cool look. But yes, I still prefer the older longer strap. I wonder why they shortened it.

For all of you with light color mini Lindy, have you noticed any color transfer from your clothes? Or do you plan your outfits to minimize the likelihood?

I made the mistake of wearing jeans on my fist ML outing and got colour transfer. Luckily I noticed it quite quickly and managed to wipe it off with a cloth and water. I make sure I just use a top handle bag whilst wearing jeans now.

Even premium jeans are not color fast correctly. So I have noticed color transfer on my light colored non-Hermes bags. Which is why so far I have not bought a crossbody Hermes bag in light color.

I definitely have to plan my outfits, the Lime Mini Lindy that I own is very susceptible to colour transfer. It happened once, and I managed to get it out with wet wipes. But ever since then, I've always made sure to a) not wear denim when I'm carrying the ML or 2) wear light jackets/coats with aforementioned denim so that the ML does not come into contact with the denim.

With any piece of clothing that I suspect might cause colour transfer, I carry out the wet wipe test. I take a wet wipe and rub it on the fabric. If colour comes off onto the wet wipe, it's not colour-fast and I don't carry the ML with it.

Thank you all for your replies and tips. I have my fingers crossed for light colored mini lindy. My wardrobe tends to be dark so it sounds like I’ll have to be pretty careful.

I have a limoncello Lindy and love it. However it is susceptible to colour transfer as I discovered too late after wearing it with my black H t-shirt dress. 😭So if you can be careful and love the colour go for it. I love the practicality of the mini Lindy..very useful bag

Yes in a heartbeat! So cheerful and stunning, Sun is one of my favorite colors. I have a ML in a neutral but am thinking about a second in a pop color. I use my ML a lot, especially for travelling since it holds so much. Let us know what you decide!
