Has anyone seen the other colours this style comes in? TIA!!:flowers:
My favorite cashmere shawls. I bought them in 2018. One in dark blue/black and one in medium blue/light to medium grey. For modpics I have to ask my DH, it will take a little longer. Maybe someone else is faster? By the way, the fabric is fantastic and deserves the name Draperie. Due to the incredibly fine and soft texture, it can be draped fantastically (more like a stole than a shawl), though pulled threads and sn.)ags could perhaps be a slight drawback (IMO somewhat more easily than with the CS).
(The blue of the first pic is more like IRL)

View attachment 4469551 As you can see, I went into the store nostrils a-flarin’ and double chins up!

They didn’t have much else. One cw of Jungle Love Rainbow in blue, which didn’t suit me at all. Posted above - why are all the photos automatically showing up at the top of a post? It’s driving me batty - I like to have full editorial control of the layout! (Comes from being an editor, I suppose.)

Yesterday was a hard day. It was the three month anniversary of my stepson’s death plus DH’s birthday (luckily, he did not figure out the coincidence). I was feeling so out of sorts, slightly weepy and angry and generally helpless, so I dropped everything and drove to H, in saggy jeans, a t-shirt accessorized with a few well-placed puppy hairs and carrying an ancient Benetton backpack that I normally would only wear to places like Magic Mountain. My hair was a droopy mess, and I had only put on half my normal face (thank god I now have permanent eye brows or I truly might have scared away customers. Or least their children.) In other words, I was one of the beasts in Sweet Dreams. I used to dress up or at least, be presentable when going in to H, always wearing a scarf, but this time I was filled with a strange kind of courage, a “Let them come and serve ME, as is their natural right.” This must be how celebrities feel. I lingered and tried on everything I wanted, and when a customer asked for a scarf with clouds and the staff had no idea, I said, “Perspectives.” And when they further told that customer they didn’t have any in stock, I chimed in “yes, you do, let me show you where in the case.”
Seriously, where’s a mic to drop when you need one???

I think you should apply for a job at H!! You could run circles around the SAs

I would love to see yours! Yes this fabric seems to be much heartier than the cashmere silk blend.:flowers:

There are plenty of ways to tie it to show different parts. I stopped taking pictures only because I got tired. Also, I found another bias. There is enough material and it is thin enough so you can fold it in half and then do a bias fold.

Good job BBC! The thread you started was long overdue! Spending some time (hours) tying a scarf really lets you to get to know it, I love discovering details in the design and color matching/variations that appear first when you start “tying around”. ;-)
I had also “discovered” the second bias fold, witch indeed ads a handful of options showing a different part of the scarf. But, all together, what I tried to say was, no matter if 90s or 140 silk (or 70s for that matter) with scarfs that are square, you will always have 3 to 4 times more possibilities, maybe not to fold, but to showcase different parts, colors, drawings from the scarf. Specially with Kachinas I love to put this or that specific doll “up front” depending on the look and color scheme... with the Giant Triangle, I felt really limited... you know how a scarf can vary it’s look depending how you fold it... with the GT... for me, it almost always stays the same (in character...) For half the price of a 140 silk, his would’ve been ok... (sure, dream on....) lol
Btw. The CW of your kachinas GT was my favorite one, I almost bought it... but at the end I hade to admit it just did not work for me...
Silky hugs, P

Oh, I absolutely agree. And sometimes you just want it easy and not have to think about it. I don’t always want to be creative, lol. And it’s gonna be a PITA to get the triangle up on my scarf display system. Just wanted to give others inspiration...and I actually needed to give *myself* options because I love the GT and the 140cm doesn’t work for me unless it’s the winter silk.

I figure, I actually have a ridiculous amount of scarf knowledge at this point, I ought to make my 20+ years (YIKES) of experience helpful to a few people!

I like the top idea! And I've seen a friend wearing it as a skirt/wrap around her waist. Very cute!
Thank you kleider - I will tie Cosmographia that way, with and without a scarf ring so you can see how it looks. No reason we can’t tie any two corners together to totally shift the look. It is definitely my go to summer tie as it seems I can’t go to work without a scarf now - ever, and I cannot stand multiple layers of silk around the back of my neck all day even with AC. Pics to come sometimes later when I can put on the right shirt. And love your friends wrap/skirt idea!

Cosmographia in the blue hue came today! Really pretty pops of Kelly green and gold! Love it!
Welcome! gorgeous scarf and looks beautiful on you! I love seeing how things look tied on everyone. It is an effort sometimes to do mod pics - and BBC you cracked me up with the “I stopped because I got tired”. I’m guessing we’ve all been there:heart: breckash, thanks for showing us this scarf and tie.

I visited my local H store yesterday for the first time in a couple of months and was happy to see all of the new pieces they had! This is the Kachinas color way that I picked. I apologize for the crazy printed t-shirt I am wearing with it. I also fell in love with this stole to go with my new H coat, so I couldn't leave without it. I think it is also from the new collection.

Would love to see modpics of these when you are able, @ILLYLOULOU96. I've always wondered what the solid shawls are like!
