Thank you, Maedi!
It was fun to try on so many Kachinas. The one I chose was a colorway that I don’t have in my collection. It will be fun to shop my closet to see what other shirts will complement this scarf.
Hope you are doing well! Are there any scarves on your radar for the upcoming season?
I haven't seen any of the new season scarves in real life but Zebra and Kachinas are definitely on my radar. The Kachinas color ways are all so stunning.

For just a moment I took this to be your A/W19 wish list! Then I realised what it actually was...

Well, if I didn’t already own the PdS csgm in cw 06 then this would be on top of my wishlist!
Stunning!

Veeery belatedly responding to this... The Acte III CSGM in this blue/gray colorway really does have the same color/busyness feel as the PdS, and the Maison des Carrés is very close too. Which is nice for people like me who had the PdS in their hot little hands - and loved it - but let it go because the subject didn't grab me. (I know I'm weird. It's a gorgeous pattern, just not for me.)

I already passed up a pretty Sweet Dreams in the similar cw because tied it looked so much like the Awooooo in the soft blues. (Maybe I just need new glasses and sky blues just all blur together?)

Omgosh - this is so amazing on you dear LB! Gah I thought I could be happy with the 140 Kachinas summer silk that I have. Now I have to decide on this wash silk or the Giant Triangle. Can you provide some input on how you like the Giant Triangle vs. the 90 wash? Gah. What a dilemma.
Dearest Lanit, I hope you don’t mind me intruding in here, but as a fellow Kachinas All times fan, and as and old tpf’er, I just hade to... ;-)
To be really honest, I find this format -giant triangle- quite disappointing. With a square format, 90 or 140 you have 4 corners to choose from to display... plus two bias folds plus two more half bias folds, plus a few more special techniques to wear a scarf. With a giant triangle there is only ONE corner to wear! One bias to fold... and not many other options... really... and this is not worth the prize, not for me, not even for kachinas, one of my top 3 designs of all time!
I know there are scarfies with other opinions, but you guys are the only ones I can talk to who understand such H - scarves dilemmas!

Lol, @Pegase - OG challenge accepted! :graucho:

I’m going to see how many different ways I can tie it.

I see the triangle as an alternative to the 140 silks (not the 90s), which for me have too much material (plus the silk on the triangle is much nicer to me than summer silk). I love the length, love the silk. The number of corners isn’t an issue for me because 1. I never wear a cowboy knot (because I’m always wearing a necklace) and 2. I pretty much always bias fold each scarf the same way every time, so in effect the number of corners doesn’t make a difference to me.

I will report back with my results ASAP! :panic:

There are plenty of ways to tie it to show different parts. I stopped taking pictures only because I got tired. Also, I found another bias. There is enough material and it is thin enough so you can fold it in half and then do a bias fold.

Thank you, lanit! I get "weak in the knees" when it comes to Kachinas.:P This colorway would look amazing on you! You have such gorgeous southwestern jewelry, too! As far as the giant triangle, I love the weight of the it--the feel is so nice and thick. (In Santa Fe, I accidentally brushed up against my husband's Defender and got a dime sized motor oil spot on the border. Thankfully, I had some blue Dawn liquid soap that I dabbed on the spot and allowed really cold water to flow through the spot on the scarf. It is AMAZING that I can't even see where the oil spot was. I figured, if Dawn dishwashing liquid is good for the baby ducks in oil spills, it should do the job with Hermes silk! Back to the wearing of it-- I have to say that for me, wearing it "shawl style" shows off the design (half circle with dolls) the best. It makes more of an impact that way. I need to have time to experiment in tying it in different ways, though. For my latest purchase, the washed Kachina is sooooooo soft. Definitely a thicker feel than the regular silks. I like the vibe of it--even the rolled hem looks vintage in that it is faded. In my own biased opinion and with an enabling spirit, I think you need both!:smile:

Thank you dear LB! Being on a scarf ban is no fun. Choosing one is also so difficult when one has a beautiful Kachinas already too. I will have yo try both on and see how I feel once I see the washed Kachina in person. It looks amazing on perfect in every way on you. The colors are different yet not so different from my summer silk, which is the yellow/beige one.

Your input is most welcome Pegase! Thank you for saying what was initially on my mind when I first tried the Giant Triangle. The one I tried one was sublime in color but I was not keen on buying a scarf at the time. And you know I have soooo many, I tried to be good that day. I love everyone chiming in and makes me feel like our silky circle celebrates our wonderful crazy passion.

“...got tired...” laughed so hard and in total agreement.....amazingly exhausting this tying of scarves thing...sometimes I have to sit down a bit before going out...:giggle:

OH, and you have totally converted me to this triangle format...must try one.

@Ladybaga that color looks wonderful on you, go buy 2 more shirts! I am one of those people who find something they *really* like and buy a second or third (especially when they go on sale if I can! LOL) because I know I won't find them again. You gotta know a good thing when you find it! That colorway is so unique and was a great snag. I couldn't carry that mint green but I can really appreciate it on you, wear her in good health!
Thank you so much! I feel like I hoard solid color blouses and t-shirts so that my scarves always have a backdrop! :P

Zebra is on my list, too! My store had one in but it wasn't the colorway that I was interested in. It was pretty, but I would like the one that has the deep greens, blues, and orange, or the one that is rust, green, and yellow. (Not sure which colorway those are but they were posted earlier in this thread.) With Kachinas, there are several that could have come home with me. I also want a Bolduc but want to see which cw until I buy one. I think the Zebras and Bolduc would be good Christmas gifts from Santa. I can't wait to see which Kachinas and Zebra come home with you.

LOL! Must be my late-onset ADHD. I realized that I could spend hours standing there tying the scarf a million different ways!

Glad to enable!!!
