Ok. Here are some bad(!) mod pics, a little later than promised- sorry everyone!
I wore the scarf today, and yes, it’s very wrinkly but the tag is tiny so... I guess it balances out?
Edit: I’d say that the last 3 pics shows the colors most accurately.
This looks amazing on you!!! This is the one I’m after, and your photos just pushed me over the edge! I think this is an incredibly versatile cw that I can see working with almost everything I own! Thanks so much for posting these photos!

Thank you so much @Ladybaga :flowers:
I’m still not 100% comfortable posting mod pics, but I figured I’d do it anyway, since everyone here is so kind & encouraging. :hbeat:
Please keep posting! You look lovely, and the ways that you tied this scarf help us so much in seeing the many ways to wear it. It looks like a versatile scarf.

IMO it's very helpful to see the same scarves/cws modelled on different people and in various ways. Nobody should feel their latest AW19 scarves are not of interest. It's especially helpful for us (Europeans) as most have not seen a single AW19 scarf yet IRL, every new picture gives us an alternative view and more info.
I agree - plus we all have different hair/eye/skin tones and wardrobe choices. The way I wear something is not like the way someone else wears it. Most of my pictures here are purely to show the scarf against a neutral background and what will show up when it’s tied. Modeling shots help in other ways.

The more, the better!!!

Omgosh - this is so amazing on you dear LB! Gah I thought I could be happy with the 140 Kachinas summer silk that I have. Now I have to decide on this wash silk or the Giant Triangle. Can you provide some input on how you like the Giant Triangle vs. the 90 wash? Gah. What a dilemma.

Ha, don’t ask me. I wound up with both, in more than one cw each. Different sizes, different colors, different uses. But I think over the many years I have owned more different versions of this design than any other, although I didn’t keep anything prior to the giant triangles.

Thank you, lanit! I get "weak in the knees" when it comes to Kachinas.:P This colorway would look amazing on you! You have such gorgeous southwestern jewelry, too! As far as the giant triangle, I love the weight of the it--the feel is so nice and thick. (In Santa Fe, I accidentally brushed up against my husband's Defender and got a dime sized motor oil spot on the border. Thankfully, I had some blue Dawn liquid soap that I dabbed on the spot and allowed really cold water to flow through the spot on the scarf. It is AMAZING that I can't even see where the oil spot was. I figured, if Dawn dishwashing liquid is good for the baby ducks in oil spills, it should do the job with Hermes silk! Back to the wearing of it-- I have to say that for me, wearing it "shawl style" shows off the design (half circle with dolls) the best. It makes more of an impact that way. I need to have time to experiment in tying it in different ways, though. For my latest purchase, the washed Kachina is sooooooo soft. Definitely a thicker feel than the regular silks. I like the vibe of it--even the rolled hem looks vintage in that it is faded. In my own biased opinion and with an enabling spirit, I think you need both!:smile:

Thanks so much kleider. I like the scarves you mention - geometric patterns and lines are so much fun to style! I only started collecting in 2013, and learned a few lessons by buying something that didn’t just leap out at me. They stay in the drawer for the most part. I don’t know how tall you are, but with a few scarves during the summer I tie the top two corners together just slightly, put over my head, style with a long pendant and go. Animapolis is gorgeous like this as is Cosmographia. They hang long, you see more of the scarf, and there is almost no silk on your neck on these hot days! That is a must for me when the temp gets over 70. :P
I like the top idea! And I've seen a friend wearing it as a skirt/wrap around her waist. Very cute!

Possibly the Jungle Love Rainbow 90 in black/gray. ;) I haven’t seen any of the scarves IRL yet, but I might possibly be interested in a couple CSGMs. Of course, I’m cutting back on my scarf purchases, but you know how that goes. :graucho:
LOL about "Cutting back on scarf purchases." I declared that when I bought Animopolis cw 01 back in March. When I puchased the Kachinas, JL (rainbow multi-color) and brown/white/beige (20cw) La Patisserie, the SAs all said, "Wait, we thought you weren't buying 90cms anymore!" Now, I have to get creative on where to place three extra scarf boxes in my closet. The madness never ends!

The black/grey/white JL will be a classic for sure! Can't pass up a great black and white scarf.

I concur, to all of the above!

What a small world. It was lovely to meet you. (Even though I didn't know it was you at the time!)

I got the blue/green Jungle Love and the denim/pink Kachinas (neither of which are new to the thread): View attachment 4470200 I really like how the white lines are not mathematically precise, but the colored stripes look and feel hand-drawn.

The Kachinas colorway is very similar to the pink and blue Samourai. (Pics for comparison):
View attachment 4470201 It was (unusually for me) not a strategic purchase. As soon as I saw it, I was "yes please. That's mine now. Thank you very much." I think it was partially because it reminds me of my favorite scarf. But I also love the print and it's sufficiently different from my other Kachina. You might not even think they're the same scarf! Kachinas Wash in cw 14.
And an up close pic of the details.

@FugitiveRouge what beautiful choices! I love that JL and the Kachinas is lovely too!

@Ladybaga wow you're glowing in that bad boy! I love it on that coral with your turquoise jewelry, it suits you perfectly. congrats!

Thank you so much! I was so excited to see this colorway because I don't have anything like it in my collection. (I need to invest in those coral t-shirts! If I spill on the one I have, I'll have to go on a hunt to find another. Perhaps, Talbots will have these on sale by now!)

@Ladybaga that color looks wonderful on you, go buy 2 more shirts! I am one of those people who find something they *really* like and buy a second or third (especially when they go on sale if I can! LOL) because I know I won't find them again. You gotta know a good thing when you find it! That colorway is so unique and was a great snag. I couldn't carry that mint green but I can really appreciate it on you, wear her in good health!

That Jungle Love CW is very beautiful. There are silvery parts, the cats look like etchings, and it's just so elegant. I will probably get one.
