Ahahaha, if I worked there, I wouldn’t be able to leave. Then I’d be charged with child neglect. So I guess it’s best to stay a healthy distance away. Have you got your eye on any of the new season’s offerings? I feel like we haven’t seen any new scarves from you in a while - are you now fully satisfied with your collection???
I looove all of BBC’s creative and beautiful ties but I have to agree with you, Pegase. Giant triangles are just not for me...Good job BBC! The thread you started was long overdue! Spending some time (hours) tying a scarf really lets you to get to know it, I love discovering details in the design and color matching/variations that appear first when you start “tying around”.
I had also “discovered” the second bias fold, witch indeed ads a handful of options showing a different part of the scarf. But, all together, what I tried to say was, no matter if 90s or 140 silk (or 70s for that matter) with scarfs that are square, you will always have 3 to 4 times more possibilities, maybe not to fold, but to showcase different parts, colors, drawings from the scarf. Specially with Kachinas I love to put this or that specific doll “up front” depending on the look and color scheme... with the Giant Triangle, I felt really limited... you know how a scarf can vary it’s look depending how you fold it... with the GT... for me, it almost always stays the same (in character...) For half the price of a 140 silk, his would’ve been ok... (sure, dream on....) lol
Btw. The CW of your kachinas GT was my favorite one, I almost bought it... but at the end I hade to admit it just did not work for me...

Thank you all so much for the complements! I am so glad I found scarves that are nothing like what I already have. The colorful JL will go with so many shirts and bags. These brights make me happy! The warm tones of the pastries will get a lot of wear, too. It resonated with me because I am a confessed Chocoholic!

Ok, I feel “oochy” (made up word by a friend of mine but oh so descriptive) about posting but I told kleider I would share my “summer tie”. Here is Cosmographia with one shot of the actual tie itself. HTH someone if you run warm like I do. It makes a huge difference! And Cosmographia is so gorgeous, I tied at two different corners to show how different it can look. Here goes! Oh, and I too have trouble, the upload a photo button always changes the order so I’m going to post separately blue vs white top. Forgot to show the long pendant but you can imagine.

I inherited my chocolate "issues" from my mom! I'm worried that my chocolate consumption will rise (along with my weight) every time I wear this scarf!
Here’s the white shirt (sorry the lumps and bumps show - black camisole was for another shirt, but it gives you an idea with another color top. The tie is just the one knot between two corners on the same side (not opposite if that makes sense. )
