Hi all,

I have a black GST with silver hardware and I just saw a seller with the beige and gold hardware for $1595. I am in the process of getting it authenticated beyond seller's authentication, but wanted your opinion. I'm feeling like it is a steal, but am I wrong? What do you think? TIA!

i have a similar bag, looks legit to me, but i aint a chanel expert. I paid 10k NOK (norwegian kronen), round 1110 dollars, but mine dont look as pristine as urs, so i think pricewise its a steal. U have to be careful with what clothes u wear with this bag, cos it can colourtransfer onto the bag, hope u get some help with auth, gl

This is the old style GST. You can tell by the stitched logo which is a separate piece of leather. Also, there is no engraving on the grommets. There were a lot of fakes during this era and Chanel changed the GST to the newer design with the engraved grommets to minimize fakes. My guess is the price reflects that.

Unless you love this old style, I would personally get the newer design. Hope this helps.

I would wait for a newer bag to come along which it will. I purchased both a black and white (white had tags) and the black was new as well. I paid around $1995.00. There is sagging on the bottom corners of this beige bag as well and don't think it's in great condition. Something just doesn't feel right about it to me and I would pass on this one.

It was about 2-3 years ago. They both came from highly reputable stores as well. Yes inflation could be a factor on the price. I don't know where you are looking but can you make them an offer for a little less?
Are those in "like new" condition with no sagging at the sides, etc? $2,100 could be a good asking price. If they come back and say 2,200 I think it would be worth it. I wear mine often and they still look brand new. Love that style!

Again, I wouldn't purchase that beige one.....but that's just me. Follow your gut.

Thank you! Ask my husband… I don’t NEED a bag… hahaha, just saw this and wanted it. I appreciate your help! I’m still waiting for my Real Authentication results. The results from Dr. Runway say authentic. Seller sent me at least 75 photos and it is identical to mine. Mine is also the old version. I will wait and see what the 2nd authentication site says. Thank you!

Thank you! I do love this old style. 8 like the Cs better with the separate leather. I’m probably in the minority, lol. Just waiting to hear back on authenticity.

Happy to report that the 2nd site says authentic too… I sent them all 75 photos, lol. I think I’m in the clear! As for sagging, I have an insert I use with my black one. I’ll grab another for this one and see if it helps. Thank you again for your honesty!!

Hello, GST lovers..I just want to ask regarding sizes of GST, my friend bought recently a preloved GST for $1,700 but unfortunately no serial no. But as I was checking the bag and measuring it, the length is 13inches.. but the height and width are measuring 9" height and 4.25 width so it is 1 inch shorter than the regular dimension which is 13" x 10" x 5.25". Im no chanel expert, but to me everything screams fake to me, grommets, stitching, overall look, the CC logo in front, the writing on the grommets, and a big no no, no serial number! What about the rings attached to grommets?, the inside? logo? the zipper? i would recommend u get it authenticated, i really hope its a real one and not a fake, gl
