I just got a garden party 36 and I'm super excited to use it! How is the durability with canvas lining? Would you all recommend an insert, so the lining doesn't get dirty?
I am so excited for you. I would have answered sooner, but I am in graduate school, and I have been very busy. The lining is durable in the Garden Party, and if you like an organization, I would recommend an insert. I carry my Garden Party 36 both ways. For a more slouchy casual look, I prefer without the insert for business I like the insert so that my laptop and files do not rub on the lining. What color GP did you get? My recommendation is that you use your bag, be carefree, and enjoy it. The GP is a wonderfully understated bag and the only Hermes bag that I carry. GP will last you for years, and if you ever need to, you can take to the Hermes Spa to freshen her up a little. Enjoy!

Hi PF! I am mulling over a GP 26 in all leather rose pourpre. Any feedback on the size 26? I plan to use it as a small tote as I have larger bags for different needs.
I did not know that there is a GP 26. I am familiar with GP 36 and 30. I have both, and they are lovely. The 30 is purse size, the 36 is more of a tote you could carry a laptop and files in the 36 but not in the 30.

Ladies, I am considering a full leather GP for work. I do not have a lot to carry, besides my laptop, so my questions are:

1. Can MacBook Pro fit in GP30? Or do I have to go for GP36? I prefer GP30 because it's supposed to be lighter, and I am petite too (5'3, 115lb)

2. Will either GP30 or 36 be too heavy to carry with MacBook Pro + card holder + phone + keys in?

Thank you!!!
GP 36 will hold your size laptop and files! Some do not like this bag as a work tote because it is handheld. I love mine for work and casual. I can carry my GP 36 on my shoulder when not wearing a bulky coat or sweater. I love mine. Some think that the GP36 is heavy; I don't consider too heavy, but of course, if you load it down, it will be heavy. The only want to avoid heavy with a laptop, in my opinion, would be to use a nylon bag or backpack.

Thanks for the feedback :) I'm heading in tomorrow to see the Rose Pourpre all leather in the 30. Very excited :) I did see a canvas version last week. Not sure of the colors but light pink (similar to rose azalee) canvas and slightly darker pink leather straps. I was scared of the canvas in a lighter color so hoping the RP hits the mark :)

I use a full leather GP 36 for work and I use a MacBook Pro 13" - it just fits. ( with the sides tucked in. ) So if you have a bigger MacBook - you can only fit it with the sides opened.
I use a bag insert ( Samoga) but no laptop sleeve. I like to put my Macbook outside the bag insert so it won't move around in the bag. ( the MacBook will be pressed against the bag canvas lining by the bag insert). Yes the bag will be heavy - and it's not exactly a shoulder bag. ( I can fit the bag on my shoulder but the whole look is a bit weird since the bag will stick out a lot). I drive to work so heavy bag is ok for me.
