Hi to you all fellow Garden Party fans!
First, I beg for your understanding, English not being my mother tongue.
Today is the day of my first post, after litterally years spent reading the various Hermès threads, thinking "How lucky these members are, I'm never allowing myself to purchase this!"
So time went on, and after saving for a few months, I finally decided for a Hermes instead of Alma épi PM (maybe in a few months...), as I feel I may be rewarded for certains things that happened to me recently.
After hesitating between Picotin, Evelyne and GP, I purchased the gold Evelyne in Taurillon Maurice, online. As I mostly own totes and handheld blackbags, I thought that would be a useful and original addition. Except... as soon as he saw it after I picked it up in rue de Sèvres, DH explained me frankly that this wasn't not my style at all, and it didn't suit me well enough for such an expensive luxury accessory (and he hated the big perforated H, even meant to be worn backwards). And I trust his taste, so decided not to keep it.
After sending it back, I visited regularly the H boutiques in Paris seeking Picotin and GP; some were shown to me, but I had no crush. In the meantime, I almost purchased a gold negonda GP online, but someone else managed to pay before me.
So this morning, I had not much hope when visiting to George V, asking for a dark-colored GP (blue, purple, gray, green, bordeaux or gold).
When coming back, the SA told me she had a rouge H one.
I was rather disappointed, as red is a color I avoid as much as I can.
But weirdly, I was in love with that color, which tends to be a Hermès Bordeaux rather than the true red "rouge h" I have always seen.
By the way, the SA told me she thought GP didn't exist in rouge H anymore.
I couldn't leave the shop with the bag today as I paid with a check... and they have to call my bank first.
I will show you my first H bag, GP rouge H in vache country as soon as I may pick it up !
Thanks for reading me ;-)

Congrats! I love my GP and a red one is more versatile than you would think!

Congratulations! How exciting. Rouge H is gorgeous and such a rich classic. Please take a picture when you get it.

So here is my new GP in rouge H vache country, after an extremely long week waiting for my payment to be validated.
Thanks to you and all the very detailed threads I could give priority to vache country over negonda, as I prefer bags that remain "in shape". I also understood I am rather on the tonal stitching side (even though a few weeks ago I almost purchased online a gold negonda GP with contrast stitching )
And this time, DH was "Ah, this one's beautiful, and it suits you well)
So... Let's go !

The color is difficult to catch (seems like every picture of a rouge h bag is a different color anyway)

Congratulations! I love rouge h . It is my favorite red, and I have never seen one without the contrast stitching before.

I am now tempted to ask my SA about one although I was previously set on vert cypress or bleu indigo .

Thanks Aless !
In effect, when googling this bag, it only appears with contrast stitching, which contrasts way too much for my taste.
Tonal stitching is probably a recent style !

It's beautiful, congratulations! What a wonderful choice! Like your DH, I too do not care for the Evelyne (that perforated H does not appeal to me, nor the shape). What a wonderful alternative you have! Wear it in good health!
