I never put my bags on the floor unless it is carpet at home but even that will rub off corners over time. There is no repairs that you can do except to have send for a spa or local cobbler to touch up with new color. Remember that Epsom is an embossed leather and is thin. I think that the difference in weight between Epsom and Country is a matter of a three ounces or so.
Really, that's all? It felt so much heavier when I was holding them at the store. When it gets closer to the time of purchasing I will bring all my stuff to the store with me so I can test them both out! Also, this might be a dumb question but is it possible to have a leather specialist add metal feet? Or is this something that can't be done without taking the entire bag apart?

I’m completely new to Hermès (the only thing I have from them is a pair of Oran sandals). I’m considering going into bags next and have my eye on the garden party. It seems like the Garden Party isn’t mentioned as much here as the Birkin or Kelly (which I totally get why). I was curious as to what Hermès aficionados think about the garden party bag...

Its a great discreet bag for work with the durability and friendly price point...but it can get kinda heavy depending on leather type.

View attachment 3887385 couldn’t help myself- despite having gotten the cobalt last month, I just had to get another one! I bought the cobalt at the FiDi nyc boutique but since Bordeaux wasn’t in any of the stores near me, I purchased it off H’s website and it came packaged amazingly! The 36 makes for a great lap top and throw bag. Thanks for letting me share!

Hello,
I can’t help saying I wish I had chosen the same combination as yours. I had bought the GP30 in Vert Vertigo 2 months before I had to sit and wait til it was available online to my country to buy the GP36 in Bordeaux. The Bordeaux is amazing and I promised it would be my lifetime work bag. But I don’t have the same feeling with her green sister; It’s Beautiful but it’s just not for me and I always feel ‘unsure’ whenever I reach it to use so I decide to leave it there for a while. Now I see your Cobalt, the one I love also but wrongly having given 2nd priority... OMG, I want it desperately.
Anyway, congrats on your beauty GPs. They’re equally adorable.
Thanks for letting me share.

Well ladies I can finally join the club. I finally took the plunge and bought a Negonda Black with Silver Hardware Garden Party 30 and I am so excited. I know that I am not in the league with many of you gracious ladies, but I am never the less thrilled to be a member. Here is a pic with my old Hermes Scarf inside the bag. I must say that I am shocked how much this bag holds comfortably and it is not nearly as heavy as I thought it would be.

Yes, you are right! I did order a twilly and then I decided to order a silver mors scarf ring to go with it. I am looking forward to their arrival. I am so glad that I can shop online for these items, I remember when Hermes didn't offer many bags online. Now I see they have several. This is the one I decided on. I love lavender. upload_2018-1-20_5-58-30.png

Loving everyone’s Garden Party’s ! I am on the hunt for a neutral color in a size 30 but unfortunately here in Florida it’s slim pickings at the moment! I already have an etoupe Evelyne and a gold double sens. Would a gris asphalte look too similar to etoupe? Do stores re stock these bags often ?

Your bags compliment each other very well. Love your little VV. Put together a couple outfits that look great with it so that you feel more confident. I don't need to 'sell' you, your own bag but 'pop' bags can be great for lifting the spirits when you need to remind yourself you're special or reinforcing self-confidence when a special occasion calls.

It's a very different bag, perhaps a lot more versatile than most. It's not talked about because it's a bag that quietly goes about being a bag and not an heirloom (however GP ages very well). Just great fuss-free beautifully made bag you can have in lots of beautiful colours. In terms of design it's much less convoluted than a B or a K and it doesn't need to keep going into spa to tighten loosening or replace parts. The wrap-around handles make it very strong and the inside pocket is huge (in the all-leather versions).
