I'm interested in getting a negonda garden party too! How is the leather so far? Does it hold its shape well?
holdmystars, I believe that I will love this leather. Pebbled softness. I have not had this bag very long but I believe that it will hold up nicely. I took her to the mall today and walked around for several hours and I must say I am glad that I got the 30 because I believe the 36 would have been to heavy for me (I have back issues). Don't get me wrong I love the 36 but I don't think I can handle the weight of it. So I made the right decision with the 30. The weather was rainy today where I live and the bag took the sprinkle with no issues. Looks like it did when I took it out of the box. I love the mat finish on this leather and my friend who was with me, who is not into bags at all admired the quality and beauty of the bag and the fact that it is so understanded. I didn't have my twilly on today, I just wanted to be under the radar. I love all of Hermes bags but this bag suits me. My friend admired how organized everything was in my bag and that I didn't have to dig for anything. I believe my bag will hold it's shape because all the items in my bag fills each corner of the bag which helps to keep the shape. However you could consider a base shaper if you get the the 36.

I’m excited to say that I think I will be joining this group in a few months! I need a new work bag and have been between the garden party and one of the Chanel seasonal shopping totes. But I have been so put off by Chanel’s insane price increases that I have decided to go with my first love, the garden party. I was hesitant at first because it seems like a high price for what is essentially a tote without too much design, but then I realized that the craftsmanship and quality far surpasses my other options, and that I can always dress her up a little with a twilly. Now I just have to decide if I want to go with the lighter weight Epsom leather and take my chances with wear to the corners or if I should go with the more heavy duty but also more heavy weight negonda [emoji848]

Country cowhide is a third option and my favorite

I could see the difference from the picture.
You're so right! Cowhide looks much more structured. This is a huge consideration for my because I don't want me work bag to totally lose its shape, which is a real possibility since it will probably be heavy most of the time.

Thanks for this info! I am going to my boutique at the end of this week so I will be sure to follow up on this line of questioning with her. Do you have a cowhide GP?

Yes, I have a 36 in Gris T in country cowhide. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s holding up really well. I use it three or four times a week as a work tote so it’s gotten a lot of use

I was also able to stop in at Hermès today to visit my lovely SA. While I was there, I also scoped out the GP36 and was thankfully able to see examples of all 3 leathers it comes in - negonda, epsom and vache country. I think vache is a perfect middle ground between epsom and negonda - the lovely natural grain of the negonda but the structure of the epsom. The vache also comes in some of the colors I’m considering while the epsom doesn’t, which is great news.

First GP for me:blush:
36 Bordeaux Love this bag:love:
Thanks for letting me share
Hello,
Thanks for sharing, especially your modeling photo. It inspired me to go ahead for the same bag when I had a chance to grab it online (otherwise I can’t tell when the local store might call me for that exact combination, maybe never...)

Hello,
I can’t help saying I wish I had chosen the same combination as yours. I had bought the GP30 in Vert Vertigo 2 months before I had to sit and wait til it was available online to my country to buy the GP36 in Bordeaux. The Bordeaux is amazing and I promised it would be my lifetime work bag. But I don’t have the same feeling with her green sister; It’s Beautiful but it’s just not for me and I always feel ‘unsure’ whenever I reach it to use so I decide to leave it there for a while. Now I see your Cobalt, the one I love also but wrongly having given 2nd priority... OMG, I want it desperately.
Anyway, congrats on your beauty GPs. They’re equally adorable.
Thanks for letting me share.

Omg I love your combo! I actually didn’t go into the store with cobalt in mind. I had reserved a cuivre to pick up... i couldn’t keep my eyes off the cobalt in the room. Sadly, the love wore off and I moved onto the Bordeaux in 2 months.. purchased it via their online site and it’s so much less “loud” for an everyday work bag. So the cobalt was the price of getting the right one! So we feel the same! Your green = my cobalt.. so I think we’re together on this! I couldn’t get a hold of a matching charm quickly - I have no patience so I went the fashionphile route for once and now they both have em!!! That’s the one thing that made me feel a little less meh about the cobalt- perhaps try dressing your green? It’s actually beautiful and I’d love me that for some spring and summertime fun!
