I do understand their perspective though. Hermes has so much more to offer than just bags especially for those who want nothing but the B/K - I mean I LOVE the SLG, the jewelry, the shawls, the scarves - even the perfume.

It is so funny when I first saw the Appaloosa I thought it was terrible.. then I started seeing all of the beautiful model photos by the ladies on the SS17 thread and it just truly looks amazing in real life. I was saying something similar on the fall thread -- I see the new scarves and I kind of go.. ugh... but once people wear them and model them (without professional pictures) I am always amazed at how the silks/CS come to life.

Honestly if she had told me it was Epsom before bringing it up I would have probably declined. Epsom always looks to me... too rigid and not as nice as some of the other leathers. However, it is because I had never really touched it before in a bag format. Once I saw it I just thought it was wonderful and you are right it does feel much lighter than my GP in Negonda at home.

I just empty the bag and put it on my bathroom scale, it's less than 2 lbs
Actually it is very light weight and being used as my gym bag. I can easily fit in my sport clothes, pair of sport shoes, water bottle, wallet....everything, perfect for my injured hand. Highly recommended.

Oh no...I'm sad to hear that. I was hoping to get a gold 36 on my next shopping trip in June!

Hi Ladies,

I am in the process of purchasing my first GP 36 all leather this weekend, but I am still having trouble of making a decision. My SA offers me Gold or Black in Negoda leather, and Blue Sapphir in Epsom Leather. Well I love the Blue but not a huge fan of Epsom leather - I would prefer the rough texture of Negoda. Any suggestion? Thanks!!

I'm not a fan of Epsom either so unless you change your mind when you see (and hold) the bag in person. I woudn't buy a bag in a leather I didn't like. Gold and black are both good options -- my gold GP is my workhorse -- but if you truly love blue, I'd push the SA to try to get you the color/leather combo you really want. I don't know if Blue Sapphire is available in Negonda, but other blues are.
