My friend helped me to locate a GP30 in Craie from Paris which I've been trying to get. I was so happy when she came back and gave me the bag. I knew her for years and I do think she's a trust worthy person. However when I opened the box, I found that on one side the leather is not flat/straight. I don't don't mean the leather texture but the whole panel is not very flat, it seems to have a wavy surface in the center. Is this normal? It's a vache country gp.

Attached a picture of that side and you can see the shadows in those areas.

Thanks!

I wish I could help but being new to Hermes I don't know enough to weigh in on what is and isn't normal. I would show the bag to an SA and get their input.

Just wanted to take an opportunity to post some photos of my workhorse Gold GP ... over the years, it has become a go-to bag as it fits more than my Kellys or Evelynes, and is not so "precious" that I have to worry about it. It's handles have stretched a bit and the bottom has sagged from all the times it's been overloaded with water bottles, umbrellas, notebooks and changes of clothes, but that just means it's more comfortable to wear over my shoulder. In the fall, I'll switch to my Rouge H GP and Goldie may take her first trip to the Spa! Thanks for letting me share.

I've owned my Rouge Piment GP 36 for a while and having a lot of use from it this summer. I am obsessive about keeping my bags in the best condition possible however I feel like you about its ease of use & practicality. It's still "precious" in a comfortable way! A great under the radar bag[emoji106][emoji178][emoji6]

Rouge Piment is beautiful -- glad to hear you're enjoying yours! I don't abuse my bags, but find I'm a lot more obsessive about my Kellys and Chanels than I am about GPs and Evelynes. I have to say, Goldie has held up really well. The handles and corners are a little rubbed, and the leather is softer, but there are no stains, scrapes, or color transfer at all. There are always questions about whether the GP can be worn over the shoulder, and I have to say, this one is much more comfy over the shoulder than it was when it was new!
