It's nice to be able to find a thread all about GP! I am thinking of getting one as my working bag, the SA informed me that GP are in clemence leather and clemence leather will cause water blister if the bag is in contact with water? Is this true? Does Hermes bag have this issue of colour transfer cause I am actually aiming the etoupe yet I am mostly in black pants or jeans.
Hi, sorry to jump in but I am not aware of GP's being in Clemence.
The ones that are currently available tend to be in Negonda or Country leather as far as I am aware. Also maybe a Fjord may appear.
The Negonda I think also is not as stiff as Country and tends to lose it's shape more.
Hope this helps.
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I've never heard this. In my experience, Clemence leather is quite hardy. My Evie is Clemence (not sure what leathers my GPs are), and it's gotten rained on with no problems. Not soaked, but is has gotten wet. I've just wiped it down and it's been fine.

No, clemence does not blister if it comes in contact with water. It is a very hardy leather. But yes, you do run the risk of colour transfer onto a lighter shade like etoupe with jeans or darker clothing.

Agree! I have never heard of GP in Clemence. I have four GP and they are either negonda or fjord.

Am happy to share my first H with all the Garden Party Lovers out here!

Hello all,

Sorry for this question, I'm a newbie to Hermes.
I am very much in love with the H Garden Party TPM Negonda in black.

Is this bag as hard to get as a B or a K? Or is this "more easy" to buy? My H store is Amsterdam.

And the size 30, is that the TPM or the PM?

TIA!

Hi! Anybody here who got a GP leather with leather interiors as well? I just got hold of a black GP with leather interiors and im wondering if it's authentic since most i see have canvass lining... TIA!

Hi, an H newbie here.

So I am thinking of getting a GP36 for my mom. The SA offered me a Country Etoupe w/contrasting white-stitching, but the lining is a horse-print lining and it also has a compartment with zipper inside.

Does a regular GP come with canvas lining and no zipper compartment?
and I am also wondering about the durability of the print lining. Does anyone ever encounter this kind of GP before?

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned in the thread before, I couldnt find it :(
Thank you very much :)

What you've been offered is a special edition GP which is quite rare. The regular leather GPs have a plain fabric lining with a zipper pocket. The quadridge (horse) print is limited edition and costs a few hundred dollars more than the regular. The canvas GPs are usually unlined and therefore have no pockets.

Just how rare is the quadrige lining? I walked into my Hermes store and saw a GP Bleu de Prusse on the shelf with the print. If I didn't already have a deep navy bag I'd be much more interested. Actually, if it's super rare I may get it anyways.

Also, has Hermes ever done a silk lining for the GP?

Thank you very much for the info @catsinthebag, appreciate it :)
