Thank you all so much! I thought it would be a few days until I heard back. :heart:

I think it's an excellent idea to carry the bag for a week or two. I can see a few places in my agenda that the bag wouldn't work, but even if I carried it and loved it for 10 out of 14 days, that's a good deal. I think I just got out of the habit with this bag. It really is so beautiful. I think it might need a new twilly, too. I don't love the one I have on it, but it was the only one that looked good at the time of purchase. I need something more spring and summery. I guess I'm heading to the boutique soon!

I just purchased my second garden party in Venice. The store manager there is a dream. It is a navy and natural canvas with navy leather handles and bottom. I'm loving it. Perfect for the summer. On the ferry to Capri there was a lady with a very large version of my bag she was using as a carry on. Absolutely beautiful.

Ohhh....you are so lucky. I went to Zurich, Florence & Venice (same trip) but didn't manage to buy one. It's out of stock :crybaby: I'm not going to give up (been hunting for a GP for 2 years!!!!!). I know I'm gonna get one someday..........

Just want to share that it appears that the newest batch of GP in gold negonda leather are having issues. I saw one on Fashionphile where the description said cracking at the handles. I didn't think much of it (but noted the recent date code). My GP in gold came in at the boutique and handles are fine. However, the leather was cracking and lifted at the panels where the handles attach to the body of the bag. Plus the leather felt super dry, and the tanning wasn't done well at the handles - to my horror I can see spots of dye. Anyway, back it went to the store, and I got an ebene negonda GP. The leather was the Hermes quality and all is well. But it seems the situation isn't limited to my bag. Last year I also inspected a gold GP, and there was a white mass on one spot near the handles, supposedly mutton fat - was brand new from a sealed box. Bummer. No gold GP for me.

It's nice to be able to find a thread all about GP! I am thinking of getting one as my working bag, the SA informed me that GP are in clemence leather and clemence leather will cause water blister if the bag is in contact with water? Is this true? Does Hermes bag have this issue of colour transfer cause I am actually aiming the etoupe yet I am mostly in black pants or jeans.
