OMG, I leave this thread for one minute and joyful chaos is running free around here regarding Dallet's much beloved CSGM.
IF, great idea that you ordered both CWs 06 and 07 ~ my local H only received CW 07 when my SA reached out to me, so that went immediately on hold. Plus, I do think that particular CW is probably better for me compared to CW 06.
So, this is going to be a very interesting comparison pic that you show us, IF and I cannot WAIT for it.
And I would love love love to see the light grey IRL, same as Laila.

Just want to show anyone who's interested in Cheval Phoenix in cw 02. It should make a perfect beach silk. I quite like it but then I realized that the color combinations are basically the silk version of Kachinas cw 40, which I got. Dilemma. I have a bad record of buying different designs in similar (if not the same) color combinations from the same season. But usually with the same material (all CSGMs or all silks). But this time it's different material.... Is it insane to keep doing this? Is there a way to wear silk geant and CSGM combined? But I did say after Au Bout du Monde then I'm done for the season. Alas.. It'll be haunting me in my dream tonight.

I don't think it matters if all the cws look similar as long as you wear the scarves now and then. (and, some people just build collections of beautiful things, like it's artwork. I have no problem with that, either). Take the one in the photo: it's a beauty. I also buy the same cw more than once, but I find that the pattern does make a big difference. Although they may be the same cw, the scarves go with different outfits and neither could replace the other. So my suggestion is that if you would wear them differently and the cw's are flattering, then getting more than one scarf and/ or shawl in a similar tone is reasonable.
Hi. I have been lurking for awhile, but I just wanted to give you my opinion on these two shawls. I am a pale blonde, and I usually look horrible in beige. It just completely washes me out. I look kind of like a photo negative, if that makes sense. Ivory is usually really nice on me.
When I went to the store I saw both. My first instinct was that the beige would not work, but it is saved by the red hem. I tried them both but I really preferred how the beige showed the design more than the ivory. It was a little richer looking in my opinion. My SA suggested I just make sure to have bright lipstick/ blush and I should be okay. I went out to Bloomingdales and bought some red lipsticks from Lipstick Queen. (That brand has some really wearable reds). I have not worn red lipstick since the MAC "Russian Red" phase that Madonna made famous in the early 90's. Well that completely worked. Not only does the shawl not wash me out, I am getting a lot of compliments on how "great I look" from the lipstick. It is just a thought, but don't give up on the shawl until you try it with a bright lipstick.

What I'm most delighted to hear is is that the design is showcased better on beige!!! As a matter of fact, I have a secret reason for hoping the red hem works better on me... I just got a new belt kit with an ombre lizard buckle and the strap has rouge genate on one side so I secretly prey they will work together so I can showcase them
One of my besties said she saw cw6 IRL and thinks I will hate the mustard hem. Unfortunately I have a gutt feeling I will too. So that will make it easy to choose... I think. But H has a way of changing the (color) game so I have to see for myself...will post pics next week when they arrive. Please let me know what u think.
I do that too...same color schemes in multiple designs...because when it works, it works!!! don't feel bad. I personally wear giant silk in diff season that csgm. so if that is a consideration for having 2 silks in sim cw...then there u go! I got this CW02, have been obsessed with phoenix since a little girl. It worked surprisingly well with my boring black shift dress when I went to H shop after work.

cavalla, one thought and one question ~ my strategy as I build my H collection(s) is NOT to buy the same CW over and over again. Sure, I do gravitate towards larger formats that work well with my H Bs/Ks but they are all pretty distinct as far as CWs. This is just my personal preference.
Also, I am having Kachinas CW 40 anxiety and this particular CW has not been ordered by my local H so it will be a charge/send or transfer. I am not usually drawn to a pink/yellow CW but this looks like it has potential. I am sure that there are action pics of Kachinas CW 40 somewhere in this thread but would you please post a few recent pics for me? The H stock photos leave a lot to be desired and viewing the CW and design worn will be very helpful, thanks.
Lucy, your post resonates on so many levels for me! I, too am a pale blonde and have chosen sight unseen the Dallet CW 07 mainly because of the richness of the background color and that burgundy hem on it. Anything that is the least bit neon, such as the mustard hem of CW 06 is out for me.
Now to the crux of the matter ~ I am an absolute lipstick junkie and which specific Lipstick Queen red colors did you buy that worked best with your new Dallet CW 07? Have never bought that specific brand before and if you will share with me your favorites, that will be a great starting point especially with that burgundy hem of CW 07.

Now I have not bought a red lipstick in years, so I am sure any brand will work, but I know this brand is kind of known for their reds. They have one called "Medieval" that is more of a red balm that is kind of a training wheels for wearing red as it is sheer. It does need to be reapplied often, but with this texture you don't need a mirror. Perfect for daytime as long as you don't mind reapplying, and the color works well on most anyone. They also have two lines of either "Saints" or "Sinners". Saints are sheer with 10% pigment, so once again easy for red newbies, and sinners are 90% pigment. The same colors are in the two lines. I have Saint Wine, which reads like a red on me. I also got Sinner Red and now that I am getting used to wearing color, this is dramatic and works well. I also went to CVS and purchased some Revlon and Maybelline long wear lip colors. (The kind where you put on the color and then there is a special clear balm/gloss you put on top so it does not feel so dry.) I tried one the other night and it seemed to work and stays on pretty well. Oh my gosh... my lipstick purchases are getting to be like my obsession with CSGM's!!
Oh... I just wanted to add that this brand is sold in something called Space NK in my local Bloomingdales. Space NK is kind of a store of curated beauty products within the beauty department. It was helpful to try all the colors in person before buying.
