I don't think there's a shipping fee for the charge sends but you must pay for the item to have it sent from the store to you or your store. Then if you don't want it, it's store credit only. That's what I consider expensive, I'm not interested in an orange savings account-there's no interest earned and I find it's easier to spend store credits impulsively.Oh God! Just when I thought H could not be any more difficult! PLEASE don't tell me that will charge you for shipping on top of it...Luxury stores charging for shipping is such a pet peeve of mine haha.
I have not run into this yet as I usually have found what I'm looking for in the store [or I've just bought online in some cases] but I liked knowing that the option for transfers was there JUST IN CASE. I don't really want to pay for something that I haven't seen yet if it cannot be returned for a full refund. I would likely use the store credit anyway but it's the principle.
Slightly off topic but I thought I would compare an experience I had today with another luxury store and how they do things THE RIGHT WAY.
I was looking for a basic long silver chain for a pendant I got in Venice and I saw one on Tiffany's website that I liked. I emailed my SA there [who, granted, I've been working with for years] and she responded within an hour. She said her store doesn't have it in stock but other stores in the area do so she can either get it transferred in for me or ship to my home, for free. No issues, no waiting days or weeks for a call/email, just wonderful customer service that keeps me loyal to her even though she switched to a location downtown [i.e. further from my house]. All for an item that costs about half of what a typical H scarf costs. This is how you keep customers loyal.
This looks lovely with your black [I assume Chanel] suit jacket! I like how it can be used for 2 completely different looks as well.
