Scarves ........The Fall 2016 Scarves........

You guys seem to receive stock before we do and I'm not certain that you are experiencing what we are. Things are painfully slow this season and they were the same in the spring. My SA specifically said that they are buying fewer silks in the US. Maybe sales were slow here? Hence the price decrease last year? But it's noticeably different than the previous two years. I don't mind gradual but this is painful.

And I look like a crazy person going in every other day:
"Anything new? Any new shipments???"
Like I'm stalking my boutique!

Fortunately my boutique is 1.5-2 hours drive away otherwise I would be doing the same thing. I think it's frustrating for the SAs too. They have customers in the stores wanting to buy something but no merchandise to sell them.

Les Legendes de l'Arbre is one of my all time favourite designs , I do prefer looking at it to wearing it though so let my origin issue go reluctantly .
The lions and fabulous beasts were the most divine bit and here, in the finesse section, they don't stand out at all .I can see why H chose the way to colour it in this configurationas the corresponding corner is very dull, and so they've favoured the corner with the birds to be shown in radiant colour.
I was p---d off when I saw it was going to be a mash-up , sacrilege!!!
Yet here I am loving it and especially the deep petrol blue and the magenta . It makes the thing so much more modern .
Thought I'd share the creatures on my old one.

HermèsNuttynut thank you for showing these new colourations , a lovely surprise.

Yes, gradual is fine...Our store has been glacial the past two seasons. When the majority of designs appear on the website before the store even has a handful, I find it odd [and frustrating haha].

Several places have said they did not order any 70s. That is crazy. It's not going to make us stop buying them!! Even doing away with the format is not going to stop us!
Does this mean Greenwich isn't getting them either?!?!? My SA said no US stores are getting them but I was holding out hope she was wrong haha.

Ok I'll admit that I have been eyeing the same colorway. I have Sieste au Paradis in the same colors so maybe I'm safe. I will admit that some of these more minimalistic designs are intriguing. They might be more easily integrated with modern cuts and styles of clothing.

Lol. We always like the same scarves and cws. :giggle: Yes, I'm I intrigued becuase this design is so different than all the others and I agree with you, the minimalistic design may lend itself well to a different "look" we may sometimes want to go for.

This design has surprised me, its quite sophisticated when tied and I agree that the openness of the design will work well with a minimalist look. I still don't care for it open, but I can see myself ending up with one (or two!) due to its understated design and versatile nature.

Too funny. They are ridiculous with these things. Don't feel badly BJS my card came from Paris. I don't hold my breath for any perks from our store.

I'm not sure that this new technique of letting the scarves arrive in dribs and drabs in different colors unpredictably is going to help their sales. To the contrary I found myself waiting to see all of the colorways last season only to lose interest at a certain point and decide that I didn't need the scarf at all. Scarves aren't bags. Scarcity won't sell more. They need to have them available for us to try, fall in love with and buy.
I'm a little tired of checking the website over and over to see if something new has arrived. At least if multiple new scarves were listed (more than a couple of them) I'd perk up. So I agree with you, Pocket.

This is high on my whishlist as it's really beautiful tied and such a beautiful cw plus a belgian designer, perfection!
Sieste au paradis is also such a stunning design, starting with the name and the reference to the South of France, a true holiday scarf! The design looks like japanese art so I skipped, still doubting if I don't need it after all.
Great prospectives for this fall!

I do remember at the beginning of this year, my boutique was frustrated because designs were appearing on h.com, and they had hardly received anything. when I stopped by in June, they said they never received any of the dragonflies although they had requested that design...

Hope it is not true about the 70s - wonder if Madison ave store will get any?
The design that I am most interested in at the moment seems to be one of the last to be released-
Chacon fait son nid (90)

Now they aren't even arriving on h.com. [emoji22] More than anything I just want to see the colors so I can narrow my choices.
