Hey BBC! Glad to be an enabler! Well, I am not an expert but like what I've replied to Kittyhawk above, this etoupe Magic Kelly can both work as a neutral/subtle colour and a pop because of how the colours are distributed. I would wear it with bright colour clothings like red, electrique blue, emerald green, orange, fuchsia pink etc. But it can also be worn together with black and navy and prune/burgundy, forest green, white, cream type of colour but won't be dull at all. I will try to take some photos of the scarf with different colours of clothes to match during the weekend and post pix here so you can see how it works. I would say this is a great choice to match your bags!! Go for it!! :graucho:

P.S. I am twins with you on the orange Tigre Bengale as well and it works great with khaki/beige type of colour. Try it with a trench coat. :)

Thanks so much, Mia! Now I just have to find this Magic Kelly!

Thank you also for the coat suggestion....<smacking my forehead> yes, why did I not remember that I was wearing beige when I bought the scarf? The funny thing at the time was that I was with my very best friend, whose coloring is waaaay different from mine (my ancestors are Russian/East European and she is Columbian/European) and we *both* bought the orange, which may be a first for us! :) :) unfortunately, I don't have a khaki trench coat (mine is black), but I do have an LP coat in beige and a dark taupe Carolina Herrera rain coat.

Thank you!!!!

Oh Monceau! We are twins in the green/lavender and the mais/havane for Lalbhai! I would love to own the Aubergine/orange too but could only find the Rouge Vif one so I settled for the Rouge Vif. You're so lucky to have seen the Rubans IRL! I have only seen it in the magazine. I sure hope I will be able to locate it. You too! Wish all of us luck on this one!

An "old" photo for the Lalbhai summer silk lovers....I truly have no excuse for not having whatever color I want (and yet....dare I complain??)...photo taken April 2011. The one I bought is the reddish/pink one on the top row - grenat.

Totally agree it is pathetic H.com USA .....so strange??

The more I know, the more I understand.
Reading through this forum makes me feel like Dorothy in Oz....as I push back the curtain, rather than seeing elegance, dedication to craft and history, I am beginning to see cold-hearted greed (gasp). I feel duped. Did they think we wouldn't figure it out? Sure, sure, it took me awhile, but thanks to all the wonderful TPFers, I'm getting quite an education :smile1:

what a beautiful picture! I love the one you have - they are very available still, I saw a few c/w's this month in H!! :D are you thinking of another color?

i would highly recommend this scarf to a H scarf collection and it would be a great scarf for those wanting to venture outside of the 90 world! it is very versatile + can be used as a cover up, neck scarf, skirt, top and head scarf...

I was actually thinking of getting the extender, the leather piece with the hoops on each side so I can cross try on neck with more drape....does anyone have this or any info, colors, price? wonder if it would be best to just match to hair color so it just blends in....does anyone else makes them besides H....thx!!

Not sure if someone has posted this but the limited edition Indigo scarves are on australia.hermes.com now. These scarves are dyed with natural indigo pigments in Bangladesh.

Pegase has Pani in dark indigo! I am so jealous! :p
Thanks for posting this pic, Chestnutty. (I have my "crush" in a pointu madras blue from a couple of years ago. :D )

Yes, yes, I am interested. Is it the Palm Beach boutique? Please let me know which colors they have.
I do have a little scarf belt like the one you describe....I've had it for years but never use it, I think I bought it at a boutique in Locust Valley called Pomponner.

Ah, pure gorgeousness! Pictures of the Lalbhai summer silks are ALWAYS appropriate! I have the prune and pastel (pale blue, green, lavender) colorways on the bottom row next to each other. Wouldn't mind having the brown with yellow or the green with blue. :D

I have your crush in the pointu madras, too! The hot pink and orange plaid one---with the cute charms, right? :graucho:

Oh, yes! I remember the hot pink and orange! BEAUTIFUL!! The charms are silver stirrups. (Gotta pull that one out to wear again.) Sorry to be off topic.

I know, I know, I should have just taken the whole top row!!!

Two looks - same scarf! I almost passed on this scarf when I saw it on france.hermes.com and thought "meh, too bright", but once tied it made a huge difference. The colors on the diagonal and hem are actually quite creamy, soft, and wearable. Somehow reminded me of some colorways of the Coup de Fouet :smile1:. It really is something unique in my collection.

P/S: I'm pretty sensitive, so if you see this post and think my scarf is too bright/too flat/too boring, etc. please feel free to move on and ignore my post. I love my scarves and it's hurtful to hear negative comments about the design or colorway that I chose. Thank you :smile1:.

Beauuuuutiful, Chestnutty! Love how you tied it and the colors look gorgeous on you, what a versatile little beauty she is!

Absolutely beautiful, Chestnutty. Last week, I bought GAlop Chromatique in the purple, ciel, beige color and am smitten with the design. The left picture is particularly gorgeous and I adore the soft pink and red on you.
