I agree with you both that DE seems dressier, but I still want to try on both once I go to the store, in case I want the other one later this year

Eva in DE!!
Hey guys. I'm new here. I recently bought an eva clutch in DE preowned and I was just wondering if it is normal that my Eva has a different shade (seems darker) than my other DE items (most are new from last yr and this yr). The previous owner said she used the eva less than a dozen times and had been stored away most of the time. The bag was made in 2012. Has anyone else noticed this in their other DE prints? Is this a wear and tear issue? Thanks
i've noticed several times at the lv store that not all the de items have the same color. Some are lighter, some darker. This is normal.
It is wear and tear though when the de pattern starts to fade. You should look closely at the bag and see if the pattern is still intact or if you have parts where the squares are starting to rub off. The first parts of the bag where this usually appears are the corners of the bag.

IMO, jennifer-j is exactly right. I have mostly DE items and when purchasing a new piece in DE, I will often take another bag from my collection in to the boutique so that I can "coordinate" the DE colors as much as possible to what I already own. There are so many "it depends" when it comes to the color of DE canvas. Also, you may have already done this, but perhaps take a warm washcloth (no soap) and gently wipe down the bag and then dry it with a soft, dry cloth. Just be careful not to rub the glazing. [emoji4]HTH.
I did wipe the bag with damp washcloth but it only removed a bit of dirt. The canvas looked better but it did still looked dull and matte. How do I tell if the canvas is starting to dry out? When I first got the item I thought the canvas was dry which was causing the canvas look faded and darker. I used baby wipes to clean it but will this cause more damage to the canvas?
Thanks!
Are you able to post a few pics with no flash or glare? I personally don't use baby wipes on my LV pieces, but I know some do.

The one with the lighter canvas is my Favorite and the darker canvas is the Eva
Is it normal that the Eva looks a bit more dull and dark (lighter canvas looks more brown than yellow)?
I was able to remove some of the white stuff on the top right corner of the plating but I can still see it and I'm wondering if it's just dry and cracking or just dirty. I'm afraid to rub to hard because that might cause more damage.
Thanks!
