It is gorgeous! šŸ˜ Now you need the lock. šŸ˜
Which animal does your P9 have on its flap?
It’s the dove on the flap. Unfortunately our SA replied and he says firstly Singapore did not order the lock charms. Secondly if something says for P9 speedy clients only it requires that you have the P9 in your purchase history (like the VIA thing). I think he was a little miffed about my on-the-side purchase and also shared that I would not be able to bring in the speedy for the P9 aftercare and that even repairs are not available to me at any time without cost. LOL.

Huh, so he is sulking… šŸ˜… LV really likes making purchasing challenging nowadays…
If aftercare really would be needed at some point I would nevertheless try. But my LVā€˜s really mostly are still fine even after years. The only thing I ever had repaired were NF MM handles…
Although I wonder if I go into a store and say that I received the speedy as a gift, surely they won’t turn me away just because I don’t have the bag in my purchase history? Hahaha. #thinkingoutloud
Actually trying doesnā€˜t hurt. šŸ˜ But seems like these are probably rare pieces…

I can’t begrudge him because I’m sure like hardsided items, the commissions on the P9 stuff would be much better than canvas. He also secured the TM Carry All PM for me so I’ll play nice for a while. Hehe.

Yeah I’m sure I can get aftercare in some shape or form but don’t think any actual servicing would be needed in the usual 2 year window…

P9 owners, do you put a liner in your bag when you use it? I just got one and am on the fence. I don't use liners/organizers much because I don't like the added bulk but am wondering if I risk damaging the lining or the plaque inside. The lining feels similar to a classic flap to me. I don't use liners with those and they're fine. Curious what others think/have experienced.

I use an organizer in mine. The inside is so slippery, everything was falling to the center.

Sooooooo…. There’s a really really strange anomaly with the P9 that I got. The pocket and plaque are on the wrong side of the interior.

I still have no reason to doubt the authenticity at this stage, given everything that has surrounded this purchase (original purchase receipt provided, purchased at a local LV boutique, everything that comes with the bag does not look fake or a replica in any way, collected it directly at the home of the seller, the bag feels and looks exactly the same as the P9s we saw and handled during the LV store event in December etc etc). Nothing smells fishy at all and given the long selling history and the items the seller had sold (including PP and AP watches), there is also no reason to suspect that he’s suddenly got a fake item on hand. I did do a authenticity check with Legitgrails when I found out about this and the report came back as authentic, and I’ve also made an appointment with a local Entrupy authenticator later this week just to allay any remaining concerns I have. My only guess would be that whichever artisan assembling this particular P9 somehow got it wrong and flipped the sides.

It really doesn’t impact the usage of the bag but it is a really, really odd occurrence. Let’s see what the second authentication throws out later this week - I’ve also reached out to the seller who seemed to express genuine surprise about this (somewhat understandable as he never used the bag at all).

The big question I would have if this bag is fake would be - if so much effort was made to make such a convincing (in every other way) fake or replica, why would the interior have such an obvious error?

If I were you I'd be extremely concerned that you did receive a fake. Nothing is easier to fake than a receipt, for one thing, and all resale items carry a level of risk, as is well known.

The bigger question isn't how could a fake mess this up, but rather how could a 5-figure, high-demand, LV premier bag mess it up. One seems more likely than the other. I hope there's a rock-solid authenticator you can consult that doesn't use primarily AI.

Yup am definitely aware of the risks involved with resale but I believe that I am a seasoned enough luxury buyer across multiple brands that I should be able to at least identify a single ā€œtellā€ that gives away a fake vs an authentic product. The P9 also comes with so many accompaniments that based on what I’ve been seeing online that no replicas so far have gotten everything right. Absolutely nothing across the full accompaniment of items (except this one pretty major thing haha) - down to the multi color LV ribbon included that was used to package the P9’s first release - gives any due cause for concern at all. I totally agree that this is a pretty major red flag but unfortunately I do not have other authentication resources apart from AI powered or hybrid ones. I hope the Entrupy authentication would at least provide an additional data point for me to consider any next steps in this purchase…

i love the p9, i really do want one. i just haven't found the right color and the right size, just yet. if spending this kind of money, it needs to be a color that instantly grabs me and i think i def want it in a size 30.
I know what you mean. If they did the turquoise for me in a 30 that would be perfect. Considering baby pink but worried about colour transfer on a bigger bag.

I started out using an organizer in my 40. But I decided to try it without one and I think I like it better. The extra bulk in such a large bag does give it the appearance of being even larger. I use pouches and don't have anything that I think could damage the plaque. My 25 is too small for an organizer so I have never used one in it. Plaque shows no signs of scratching.

I'd bet big money on this being just current-day Vuitton quality control at its normal. Which is mind boggling for their literally Birkin priced items. If you were at an event, I assume you have an SA who you can trust and tell them how odd you find this. They can use their magic to put your mind at ease, and maybe even arrange some resolution through repairs if this issue really bothers you. Which won't mean fixing it, since that would be a complete disassembly, but rather an exchange.
Also no need to burn money on authenticators, I always say that I find that concept such a scam. They know just as much as us long-time enthusiasts, and their word has the same weight.

I’m the same mindset as @coloradolvr . I tried it with an organizer but hated the bulk. These bags smoosh so beautifully and I love that about them. I do store them with their pillows always and a bottom base shaper. To keep them from creasing too bad. But when carrying I use pouches inside and let them slouch as much as they want 😊
