I am SO disapointed to report this but when I was visiting my family over the holidays I noticed that the part of the bag that the shoulder strap is attached too was coming apart. Then when we were walking around the museum it broke. *tear* Its less than 3 months old and has probably been used 2-3 weeks all together as I've been trying to rotate my bags more frequently. I would also like to add that this bag is huge and when I carry it, it's half empty about 90% of the time so it's not like I was over stuffing it. I am so heart broken over this I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bag; I love the color I love the slouch it has developed and I love that I can wear it crossbody. I bought it at bloomies and from what I've read I shouldn't have a problem returning it I have the receipt & tags. Now I"m really torn I know my bloomies no longer carries this bag in this color but it is available on their website. This was my first RM bag so I feel a bit disenchanted should I take the leap again and hope for the best? Or is this typical RM quality control issue? I honestly can't recall ever having a bag literally fall apart on me before.

Ok Cupid experts... I am looking for a new bag for traveling, a carry on when I'm flying. I thought the MAB was the right one, but I like the way the Cupid looks when worn cross body better than the MAB. Can you fit a lot of stuff in your Cupid?

When i'm flying, I normally carry my largish wallet, a magazine, a book, a quart bag of make-up/medicines, passport, water bottle, and sometimes a scarf or cardigan. Will all of this fit in a Cupid?

Oh no, this is awful! What the heck? I'm crying on your behalf as I know what it's like to have had a defective raspberry Cupid. :cry: I know that RM will fix it if you like and cannot obtain another, but it takes a while. I don't necessarily think its common for RM bags to have issues, but it happens. Odd that each of us had a different problem too. So far so good with my replacement but it's up to you whether to risk it again. For me I loved the bag and the color so much I took the chance.

I found the mam boxy as a shoulder bag, even with the strap attachment. I love how the Cupid tapers in at the top, it's comfy against the body.

Oh no! I'm so sorry about your Cupid. It looks like the stitching on that piece the strap is attached to isn't strong enough to hold the weight of the bag?

If you love the bag that much, maybe take it back for exchange and keep an eagle eye on the stitching. Otherwise I'd just get a refund. Did you get it at 900 N Mich? I saw 3 raspberry Cupids there a few days before Xmas.
