SCALLOPS!! Though, they don't look particularly strong so probably prone to the edges of the flap turning up over time...
That's what I was thinking, especially since some people will be grabbing at the whole edge to lift the flap instead of just using the bit of flap under the turnlock.
I think the flaps on the smooth leather Parkers are possibly too thin. They seem to be weighed down in the middle by the hardware. If there was a piece of thicker board or something in between the two leather pieces to provide a smooth arched flap, I think the bag would look more lux. But it may be they wanted the more slouchy flap? I'm just comparing it to the YSL college and MK sloan "flap" bags. And obviously, Chanel.
The Gray Parker I got is growing on me by the day. It's quite structured & doesn't give much at all.
And the black with quilts and rivets is not there either. Those are the ones I am waiting for ...
It's possible this site won't update until the official launch date which I think is either tomorrow or Friday. I'm actually shocked that I saw this bag at my local Macy's because it's still not on their website even though I bought it a week ago. I know they had more in stock at my local Macy's because they brought one from the back for me to purchase.
BEAUTIFUL! This looks NOTHING like the warm, rich (almost MK "pink grapefruit" pink) peony pink of the Coach website photo, though! Is this in natural or office lighting? What color is the leather woven through the chain? Pink or one of the beiges in the chevron mix?
