So couple things I have noticed about the Parker bags. I ordered the red tea rose and all black quilted with rivers from lord and Taylor. The red tea rose with the scalloped flap was stunning. However I had to make the difficult decision to return it bc I felt like it wasn’t as sturdy as some of the other smooth Parker bags. The flap wasn’t lined with microfiber as some of the other bags and I felt like the leather would have creases on them over time.
I wanted to love Theall black rivets and quilts however once I put all my stuff in it, it created a crease on the top of the bag like it was scrunching up. I’m not sure if that was the intended look, but I wasn’t too thrilled about. Sadly that might be a return for me. I heard then pink quilted one isn’t as bad some one said? Or the smooth leather?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not taking credit for that suggestion (pulling thru back rather than front) but I do that with my Gray & Ivy ones. I also had the multi colored quilted one & found it looked better with the chain in back. I think because the quilted ones, IMO, are much softer, the chain across the front could cause a crease, particularly over time. I ended up returning the quilted one...I'm more of a solid color gal.I think someone said to pull it thru on the back instead of having it show across the front. Sort of looks better in the front to show more of the chain detail but if it helps the overall appearance.....I have only tried on the store sample and not fully loaded. I did pull the strap toward the back and the SA told me to do it from the front....but that may be making the crease.
Thank you for the pictures! I want one of these bags in black.I have the quilted multi and I haven't noticed any issues. I have only work it a few times, since the weekends are the only chance i get and have only used it as the double trap, because that's my favorite way. I attached some pics of how it looks with what I normally put it in it when I use it. - My wallet, toiletries/makeup pouch, keys, hand sanitizer... i usually put my phone in the back pocket

Yes, I ordered both black and chalk quited Parker, originally I wanted to order only one after seeing them in person, but when I heard there was only 50 chalk Parker in JAX and my local store still won't have it till February, I went ahead to ordered both. I probably will only the black and return chalk. As long as they are not 1941 collection, I assume department stores ( like Macy's) will carry it, i can buy other colors later if I saw them on sale.
I am the same as you for the luxury items. I basically only buy contemporary designer handbags, because I don't want to pay that much for the exclusivity of premium designer. My most expensive bag so far is the coach rogue in snake skin which is $1500, I am financially capable to afford more expensive items, I just don't want to.
Here are the pictures of the 2 parkers. I didn't fully unrap them yet since I may return one of the 2. It's a hard decision though. i looove the brass hardware on chalk, but I am afraid it will gets dirty vey easily. View attachment 3940731View attachment 3940732View attachment 3940733
