Amen! It's not like there's not a million other names out there.Very pretty bag. I just wish Coach would stop recycling bag names....it makes it harder to find what you want on ebay!
I can only say that I prefer the solid color smooth Parker. The quilted ones, for me, seemed too fragile to scratches, etc. I also think the smooth ones hold their shape better when worn long. I have Grey, Ivy on the way & debating the b/w oneOk people. I need help wrapping my brain around this. I keep looking at this purse and thinking how perfect it would be to store all my mommy things (wipes, candy for bribery, kid kindle, also for bribery) and my things (Wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, small makeup pouch, candy for sanity). But somehow, when I get to the store, I can’t pull the trigger.
I think the things that bother me are:
1) Chain strap length. It’s just not quite long enough for me to comfortably wear cross body. It hits me above the hip. I’m a medium build 5’6” Mom who needs her hands and also carries other precious cargo on these hips.
2) the C lock. I think I could bear the C lock aesthetically, although I’m not a huge fan. But functionally, my clumsy big fingers have trouble consistently grasping and turning the lock.
3) Leather. I think I’ve been spoiled with the 1941 collection. I feel like the leather on the Parkers just aren’t as nice. Especially comparing the quilted Parker’s to the quilted Dinky.
Anyone else having these reservations? Is it just me? Should I just buy it and get used to it and eventually fall in love with it like everyone else?

+1 I think our instincts are usually correct. If there are a lot of factors bothering you, they are most likely valid. I second waiting for the right one that sings to you.If you don’t love the bag now, you’re not going to love it later. Pass on the Parker and wait for a bag that works for you & is love at first sight!! [emoji5]
Hello can you show us the ivy bag? Thank you!I can only say that I prefer the solid color smooth Parker. The quilted ones, for me, seemed too fragile to scratches, etc. I also think the smooth ones hold their shape better when worn long. I have Grey, Ivy on the way & debating the b/w one
All that said, I'm trying to go with my gut on purchases this year. If I have reservations, I pass. Since many are @ dept stores & are not 1941, sales will come. Maybe that'll make it more palatable?
How's that? Clear as mud![]()
Haven't gotten it yet but will when I do.Hello can you show us the ivy bag? Thank you!
I'd like to see this one, too. Is Dillard's the only place for the Ivy Parker?Haven't gotten it yet but will when I do.
No, I ordered from Lord & Taylor. I know Macy's should have it as well as someone snapped a pic of 3 & ivy was one but it has yet to show up online or in my local store.I'd like to see this one, too. Is Dillard's the only place for the Ivy Parker?
I know. I like the L and T option more than Dillards so may spring for it there. No, I ordered from Lord & Taylor. I know Macy's should have it as well as someone snapped a pic of 3 & ivy was one but it has yet to show up online or in my local store.

I looked it up as I'm unfamiliar. Super cute! Would not work for me though...I'm strictly silver or gunmetal hardware.#'s 2 & 3 is why I opted for the Kate Spade Constellation Marci; the smooth leather felt quite nice on the bag, and the coolest part is the LED lights that twinkle when pressed. There's even a USB charger for the battery! Have to say I'm very happy with it.
