Hi all! I'm fairly new to LV (I have a Pochette Accesoires but no full-sized bag) and I'm thinking a monogram GM Noe is going to be my next bag purchase. They're sold out on the US website and it looks like they go for roughly the same $$, if not more, preloved. Does that mean they're hard to get ahold of new? I don't mind a gently used bag, but if the price is the same I'd rather get a new. I'm not in a hurry, I live in the PNW and wouldn't use it until spring/summer as I'd hate for it to get caught in the rain right away.

Would I have better luck waiting for online stock or calling local department stores? Or should I give up before I start and get a gently used one from Fashionphile?

Thanks for any advice!

You can call department stores that carry LV (like Seattle Nordstrom since you are in PNW), call LV customer service and ask them to locate one in any stores in the US (or be put on a wait list to get one, which doesn't take super long for some bags), or wait to catch it online. I would do these steps in order, but do them all until I found it personally :)

I stalked the website and stores the last 8 month and the monogram gm was never available. The azure one was quite often which does not mean mono never is. I see the petit noe from time to time. I have all 3 sizes gm, petit and bb and gm is quite long. If you have a store where you can try it on I would do so. Good luck

Thank you! I’m 30 min from Seattle so that would work. Sounds like it’s not impossible to get one new then!

8 months is a long time with no online stock! I watched some YT videos and I’m wondering if the petit might be a better choice for me, I wouldn’t mind waiting for that one online. I do want a bigger bag “just in case” I need to stuff it with something, but at the same time I prefer my larger bags to be e/w for easy access, especially as a toddler mom. A really deep bag might not really work.

Ideally I’d go to a store and try them both on to be 100% sure which on is best, so I’ll see if anywhere near me has both. Doubt it, but I can try! At least I don’t think I’ll consider a preloved one since finding a new one seems doable.

You’ll find one online if you want to stalk the website. Personally, I don’t mind pre-loved but I do prefer new when possible. If you’re willing to hold out, you’ll find new but if you want one sooner than later, pre-loved is the way to go. Good luck!

It might have been there and I just missed it though I am quite diligent online lol. Yes try them.on if you can and watch YouTube videos. I have a channel Reshmi_beautyaroundtheworld where all 3 are there with what fits etc. The petit and GM have the same base size, the gm is only bigger in the height. I notice with gm I will bump into ppl and things and with petit I won't. It's more comfortable to wear in my opinion and for me personally. You can wear petit also crossbody, gm too but it looks a bit weird but I do it when it gets to heavy. I hope you can find the right one it's one of my favorites

Preloved is the same price as new these days (on 3rd party sites) unless it is very old and very used.

Exactly, I don’t mind preloved either but the whole point of buying a gently used item IMO is to get a bargain. If the price is the same and I’m not in a rush, I can wait! I think I’ll keep stalking the online shop for now.

That’s a lot of good info, thank you! And yes, if the base is the same then I don’t see the need for the larger one, I don’t like to stack my stuff inside my bag. If it doesn’t fit in the bottom, it doesn’t fit. Sounds like the petit is definitely my size! Which is good, because it looks like it’s easier to find new.

I was deciding between the 2 and went with the petit also. Had a hard time finding it, so I called LV customer service to ask when they would get more in stock. She ordered me one then and there and I had it in about a week and half.

When I was at LV in Denver a few months ago, I just happened to be bringing my Noe in for a vachetta replacement, and she had mentioned to me how popular the Noe was. She showed me her tablet and I saw that there were only 3 large Noe's left in the country. I didn't realize they were that popular. I've had my Noe for years.

Hi Noe lovers! I need your opinion please  this is my 2019 Noe bb and I noticed that the top leather trim is turning color a lot faster than the rest of the bag. I am contemplating on getting it the top trim replaced as there are some scuffings around it anyway. Then just sun that part for the color to catch up a bit. My only worry is while the top trim catches up on patina, the rest of the bag darken too so I'm still left with an uneven look!

What would you do? Would you replace the top trim now while the rest of the bag is still not too heavily patina'd? Or leave it alone?? Thanks!

I would leave it alone. It's still in good condition and I wouldn't replace it just because of the patina. There doesn't seem to be that big of a difference anyway (at least to me), and if it was replaced, there would be a big difference between that and the bottom of the vachetta.

My Noe GM in the back just had all her leather replaced. The date code is gone after the repairs but she’s from 1995. My vintage petit Noe on the left was manufactured in ‘84. My newest baby is the petit Noe NM(right) I was able to score after stalking LV website for 3 months. I just love this style so much. ❤

You large Noe looks brand new with the vachetta replaced. My Noe is actually at LV right now getting all the vachetta replaced, as well. I can't wait to get it back. I miss her so much!

This might seem weird, but maybe you can buy a used one from Fashionphile with really dark vachetta for less (800 bucks or so) and then take it to LV to get the vachetta replaced. As long as there are no cracks they should be able to provide the service for a cost (maybe some others can chime in on the process). I’ve seen Noes look brand new after getting the vachetta replaced. Of course, this is not the easiest route. But if you can’t get your hands on a new one and gently used ones don’t have much of a discount, perhaps you could give this a try? Also, if you’re deciding between the petit Noe and Noe, I think the petite is more versatile than the Noe. It can still hold a ton. The Noe on the other hand is huge and I feel like it could easily wear overwhelm you if your petite to average in height .
