I wear mine crossbody, but I would prefer an inch more. Depends on your chest size too.

Help!! I need some advice on how to repair this velvet boy that was redyed from pink to black.
The black leather strap is starting to fade off showing the pink underneath.
Do u think I can redye it again or will Chanel accept to change the leather strap to a black one?

Hi all,

My first post in this forum

Yesterday I purchased my first ever Chanel bag; a calfskin boy, pre-used. The seller(who also happened to be the first owner) said she only used it once(!) claiming it was in "perfect condition". All looked good until I got home and started looking more closely on the inside of the strap and the corners at the bottom; the color/leather seems worn, have a look at the photos.

I would appreciate some comments from you experts out there; does this look like normal "wear" to you? What could've caused this? Incorrect storage? Could it be a production defect?
I have colored(incl white) calfskin bags from other brands purchased at the fraction of the price of this one and they show no such signs of wear on the leather..

A boy bag usually has signs of wear at the edges due to the construction. I'm not an expert, but it looks like normal wear and tear for several years. There is no way that the previous owner used it only ONCE and it's not even close to a perfect condition. I would return it.

There is a bag on the preloved market that matches what I want however there is little discount from retail price so I’m debating if its worth waiting to purchase in store. I bought mine in November in Yorkdale Chanel boutique in Toronto. At the time of purchase they had 3 in stock - old medium, classic quilting, black caviar with RHW (they also had 3 of the same combo but with BGHW). Another purseforum member went to the same store a week after and they had one remaining that she ended up purchasing. My SA did indicate that this specific combo is now in their permanent classic line (hence - REV coding), so stores do get it in stock. Since I am very particular about my preferences, I was willing to come back another time if I didn’t find a bag to my liking (knowing the store will be getting more in stock), but luckily I found the one I really loved then and there.

Black with ruthenium and black with aged gold hardwares are both now part of permanent collections so hopefully you’ll be able to find one

Yes, my boutique purchase 2 weeks ago was wrapped exactly how your pics show with black tissue paper. I bought a small classic flap bag & it came with a white dustbag though.

Ok so here are the facts that I know:
- Chanel did not release a quilted black with LGHW atleast not recently.
- I can confirm that 19S and 20S both had chevron with LGHW.

I tried to find tags for you but I only found the 19S.. I’m sure your SA can still use it to find some info since codes in many cases do repeat across the seasons..
