Hi boy lovers! Do you travel with your boy? I'm traveling to Europe, and I want to bring it. Is it dangerous to bring to the airport? Since I can wear it Cross body and it's has a secure closure, I think it's relatively safe. TIA for your advice.

Personally I don't recommend it since it is a structured bag, it could get damaged. I have traveled overseas with an expensive bag though it wasn't Chanel but you have to be very careful with it since you may have go through multiple security scanner, plus in side the flight you will have to either put it under the seat or upper compartment with other people's luggage. It is rather a small bag so you are not going to be able to carry much in it, don't you think?

These are all good points - the problem is I love him! My boy bag doesn't fit well into my day to day life, so I feel like he has to fit into a European vacation! (London and Ireland)

Then you should take him with you and enjoy him on your vacation! You should do as your heart desire:biggrin: I have three boys, blue, black and red and I feel I don't get to use them as much. I am going to Europe next summer and hoping to find a mini rectangular while I am there.

Hi all! I am thinking about purchasing my first boy bag pre-loved but am concerned about the leather around the clasp. Is this a big deal? It also show some "creasing." Are this normal wear and tear for a boy bag? Any help would be greatly appreciated

It’s used so it has wear. I have 7 Boys and bone of mine have this crease, but I’m very careful. It looks like it’s been bent, will not come out but could get worse. If this bothers you then pass on it.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and found very exciting to see many beatiful posts here.

I live in HK. Sometime just can't find those nice chanel bags shared by bloggers from europe in HK stores :(
Recently I was strongly attracted by a classic quilted pattern boy bag in dark beige colour. GOSH......

I can only find the lambskin one in HK. It looks so nice yet too delicate for me.
Struggling between the dark beige lamkskin GHW and black caivar RHW
Both in old medium size, probably due to different skin used, the black caviar looks slightly bigger here.
i love both... dark beige colour is so feminine. However, it's not caviar.
Worrying it will look 'old' after several use. You know spending such a big mount of money on a bag is not an easy decision.

What would you girls prefer? Struggling hard!!!!!

Good Moring goafternoontea,
Hope you are having a lovely day, You are correct in saying that these are expensive and should be given a lot of thought prior to purchasing it. I would suggest the chevron based on your life style. If you are going to use it daily and not specifically for special occasions then my vote would be for the black chevron in caviar leather and RHW. Also I thought that I saw someone post a list of the upcoming cruise collection in which there was a boy bag Old Medium - Light Beige - Caviar - Gold HW - $4,900. The entire list can be found here https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/cruise-2018.969573/page-4

Good luck with you decision and perhaps if you are really loving the neutral tone of the dark beige boy then perhaps your SA can let you know about the light beige in caviar leather. Take care.

Was admiring the same beige lambskin boy when I was in Italy last week and was so torn on whether to buy it. It's special - more feminine and classic - and was especially tempting with the VAT refund, but I ultimately passed over it b/c I wasn't sure about the lambskin as well and hadn't been looking for a boy. Have to admit though that I still can't stop thinking about it and wish I'd just bought it...

That said, I already have a black m/l and a black reissue, so I'm not looking for a black bag. But you can't go wrong with the black caviar RHW, esp in chevron, so it depends on what you feel you need and your lifestyle. Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

was just in europe on vacation with my bf and i picked up a black boy bag (old medium, quilted). Love it so much! just wanted to know what you guys think about wearing it cross body....??? I am 5'6" and so it hits me pretty high but i kind of like that. and it feels more secure to me than just wearing it on one side. TIA for your thoughts!

Hi ladies! I'm looking to purchase a medium chanel boy but can't decide between the navy caviar or the black calf. I feel like black is very versatile in terms of matching but I think the navy caviar is quite unique looking. I don't have navy handbags so I'm not sure how difficult or easy it would be to match it with outfits. Please let me know what you all think

I've never owned a boy in Lambskin so I don't have any input there, but just wanted to say it's absolutely gorgeous!! My heart says get the Lambskin beige, but practicality wise (especially if it's your first one), get the black caviar. My first boy is also black caviar and it still looks brand new.

Aww lastly I picked the black chevron. Sigh i really love both and .... just so hard to decide.

I asked 3 guys including my hubby. Guys voted for the black one. My hubby said he disliked that colour :(

While my girls thought the dark beige colour would be so 'me', like my style.

As I see the calfskin boy looks more robust in terms of the bag structure than lambskin, so I picked the black chevron. Sigh I wish I have more $$$ (gotta save again) next time to get the dark beige one possible lol i really love both tbh

Here's my black chevron, agree with you that style 'u won't go wrong with'. Thanks for advices!
