HELLO LADIES,

I need your helpful opinion for choosing between the classic cerf tote in black with ghw or and the seasonal coral cerf tote with silver hardware. The seasonal piece has grainy leather where as the classic black tote has smoother feel leather. The coral is a nice color but worry about the color transfer onto the back of the bag after some time usage.

Your input is appreciated!

I finally got her, my black cerf tote in SHW. Grainier texture, with 14p tag. I got her a little baby sister, black quilted woc in GHW. Super happy!

Thanks for the advice from everyone on this thread. I am glad I waited until I got the SHW, if you may recall, my SA had GHW a few weeks ago and I was thiiiiiiis close to getting that one. But after some research here, I decided to wait knowing that the black/silver combo was pretty hard to find. Patience paid off because on a whim, I decided to call my local Saks Sunday morning and they just got her, their one and only black in SHW, so I quickly rushed over there and picked her up. Could not be more pleased!

I could be biased but I got mine in coral. I have classic flap in beige and reissue in black so I needed some color in my closet. Good luck.

The leather is not too shiny, and it's heavily pebbled. And the lining is a nice grey color. It's slightly bigger than the large cerf and it feels really sturdy.

I absolutely adore this bag! And it's my first Chanel bag :)

Hello Cerf Tote Owners...

I was reading the other week/month in this forum some complain on the magnetic button inside the bag. This really is a concern as my bag is only less than 5 months old. I've been using it for 3 months for a work bag until Feb 2014. I am on vacation now and bringing her down and just notice the loose hardware on the magnetic button...

I'm planning to bring her down for repair as it is still under warranty.SA told me I have to go back some other time as I've left the original receipt at home (boo :pout::pout:) We don't have Chanel at my place..

On the plus side this bag holds tons of things.. u name it! Laptops, mini iPad, cosmetics pouch, charger and all sort...

Anyone experience the same thing on your Cerf Tote?

I heard about this but my bag's magnet isn't that strong. I usually don't try to close the bag with the magnet cuz I saw that it "deforms" my bag a little and I'm afraid it's going to sag faster? You should definitely bring that to fix it though if the hardware is becoming loose.

Is / was there a cerf tote with the details of the boy bag? I think it had a chain strap and the lines that the boy bag has on the outer edges. But the chain strap, I think, was attached towards the outside of the bag and not where the inner handles are. If anyone can name the model I'd be grateful. I saw it while I was on vacation at the end of last year and didn't get a chance to go back and get it.

Quick question everyone: I bought my cerf in July 2013 in Paris. It's a A15206 ( classic style). It's black with GHW. I believe the SA kept the tags of all my purchases as I only have my receipt. It came in the magnetic box so no info on the box. Not sure what it's called, but how do I find out the 'style' of it? (ex. 14p, 13b...)

Thank you! I bought mine from Paris too and SA kept all the tags. I wonder if I called my local boutique and gave them the number on the receipt.....they should be able to pull up that info.
