I think they hold up better & more structured with the current style, which is known as executive tote. I know the previous model didn't hold up well. Not sure exactly why this Is the reason but I have read somewhere on this forum someone say they no longer use cerf leather, instead a different leather now (hense the name change maybe too) & that the newer models have the centre clip that goes across which helps hold it up a little too where the older models didn't. Again, not sure how accurate this information is, but I hope it helps. Mine seems to be holding up well so far after daily use & I have newer model

I wish the insert pocket was not removable. If it was attached to the bag like in the GST, it would be more useful. It annoys the hell out of me when the pocket moves around my bag, all my stuff gets messed up.

So I usually take the pocket out and the bag stays all wide open like a big black hole.

I'm thinking of getting either the Classic Maxi or the Cerf Tote as my everyday work bag. However, I was wondering if the maxi holds as much as the cerf. Do uou think I would be able to carry a small laptop in either if them along with lunch, a water bottle and the usual makeup, wallet etc?

I just got the cerf tote as I needed a new work bag. I wasn't sure about it at first as I thought it was too simple too but I have to say I love love love it now. Esp all the compliments I get. I do want to get a charm for it though.

Yes its usually in stock but its worth phoning around first to see which boutiques have it, they will usually hold for a day but that's as long as they will hold it.

I've never got it soaked but a little bit of spitting doesn't hurt it, it wipes off with a tissue if you have one spare on you.

After falling in love with this bag over a year ago and doing my research on it on forums & Youtube, I decided to get one in black today here at the Chanel in McLean I'm so in love with it!It's my very big first purchase of Chanel and I feel like I'm going to need another soon lol.

IE: I almost didn't get it today because the SAs there are kind of not helpful. I was told I should've went to Neiman Marcus, but maybe next time!
