Well, it's a conference for dressage trainers and instructors. Dressage is the equestrian sport of choice for the 1%ers who are afraid of jumping or going too fast. I'm the magazine editor-in-chief for the sponsoring organization, so I'll have to meet & greet. But a lot of trainers and instructors are regular people like me. So I'll probably be just fine.

I used to be a dressage rider (Junior Champ in my country but that was over 20 y ago).
Majority of dressage riders are actually quite fashion forward, they like fashion and often judge others including their riding style, horse and most importantly their riding accessories.

My friends from dressage field love Gucci and Burberry (they are Europeans). Having said that, I think if they pay attention to your bag, they would love the classic shape and style of Borough. :smile1:

You know exactly what I'm talking about! :D
After reading the quote on the Purseblog, "I don't think I've ever seen a French celeb carrying a bag that wasn't designed by one of the top French fashion houses. It just doesn't happen", I am inspired to carry an American desgined bag whenever possible. Although I'm not a celeb (unless I can sucessfully pitch the "Real Housewives of the Middle of Nowhere"), I would still like to carry an American brand bag, especially when travelling abroad.

Oh jeeze. I really thought the saffiano would hold the structure better. Tags are still on mine. I have a few more weeks to decide. Although I know my local fp will act like they are going out of their way to let me return it. They try anything to try and keep you from returning. My local outlet always loved my returns and the SAs bought them for themselves before I even left the store but they closed a few days ago. Does your borough have any corner wear?

I know I already replied to this, but having used my bag another 3 times since my previous answer I feel like I should provide another answer: the saffiano borough has corner wear on all corners. I'm actually pretty upset about it.

I also noticed my medium pebbled borough also has corner wear, and my mini pebbled borough's leather has worn off on the handles and on the back of the bag (i'm guessing from rubbing up against my pants?). And I only used the mini bag once.

I'm really disappointed with the quality. I bought 5 boroughs thinking the quality was amazing. I still love the design, and love when bags age and get worn in and character, but I like them to age well.

Sorry about your disappointment and the corner wear.
May I ask which saffiano you have? I considered brindle
During SAS but gt pebbled black instead....now I was keeping my eyes open for saffiano at the outlets or on FOS.

Thank you for the update. I actually returned mine after I noticed wear on the bag from the handle rubbing it. I really thought saffiano leather was supposed to be more durable. I'm sorry yours now has corner wear. I ended up buying a MK sutton and it's holding up great.

Just the other night I noticed the handle of my mini pebbled Borough seemed to be worn. It looked flat instead of pebbled. I bought it in Dec. and have not carried it often. I also don't use the handles often. I wonder if I should see if it can be repaired.

I agree with that and having purchased three boroughs, I chose to use my camel napanil for this season for various reasons. Looking back I wish I had a woman I know put feel on as the corners did take a beating in the inclement weather and just having to toss it into the car even though it was on the seat. I have coated them but wear is showing so what this tells me is that I plan to have her put the feet on the vermillion one before I use it in the spring. She does do mail ins too which is nice but I am local and pass her name out a lot. She undoes the lining and restitches. She is very familiar with Coach so that is what I would advise. The bag has very pointed corners so I think it's inherent and for the price I think that's just what's going to happen. Do any of yours have the feet - just curious? I know me and once it's worn, I won't be happy with it so I'm going to be proactive. I've had no problems with my mini.

I thought that the handles were smooth to begin with? Will have to take a look at mine, but I'm very surprised to hear about the about the wear on the back of the other one, I haven't noticed that happening.

I was about to purchase black medium pebbled B from outlet and while trying it on I noticed 3 of the corners had already wear. Manager suggested not to buy it since I won't be able to return it in that condition. Very disappointing.

I have the mini turnlock and the handles are now pebbled towards the ends and smooth in the middle. I have not had issues with wear on the back on mine.

Thanks to those who helped me decide, I have decided to get the oxblood edgepaint Borough. However, when I saw it at the store today, there are quite a few scuff marks on it. It is the only one left in the store and the SA said she couldn't see any on the computer. Have you ladies seen any in your outlets? I really hope to find one in a good condition......

Petaluma, CA had 2 on Wed, both were in good condition. Napa had at least one last weekend. If they search on the computer ask them if they could search the entire country not just their local area, that is if they didn't do that the first time. Good luck!
