Just curious...how are your smooth glove Boroughs wearing?
Very well ! I pre-treated them with Coach moisturizer before 1st carry and have re-applied it a few more times on corners plus sides (for extra protection and to soften leather on points/folds).
I think they still look like new but I am careful with them and where I set them down. They get a look over at home and then I store them it dust bags when not in use.
Even the white sections on my color block B's are fine. Some light scratches but the moisturizer helps those too !

Good to know , thanks! Waiting to wear my new borough ...should receive my Coach moisturizer this week! My mom borrowed and used up the last of my moisturizer! Lol!

Has anyone tried on (or maybe even ordered/currently owns) the Large Soft Borough Bag in Vachetta?

I just stumbled on this last night and can't get it out of my mind. I haven't bought a new bag in a long while and this one looks just about perfect. I would imagine that the leather will be nice and slouchy after a few wears... any feedback?

This color (espresso w/loganberry trim) is EXACTLY what I've been hunting for in a host of other brands for what feels like years. If this is as nice quality as it looks, I would gladly purge my not-the-perfect-color-of-brown bags. I even made a quick run to the Coach store and Nordstrom nearby, but unfortunately neither of them had a floor sample to ogle.

the care card with my Oxblood Borough (which I LOVE) has no recommendation for Coach leather moisturizer etc., says just clean with dry cloth. so i haven't tried the moisturizer or anything on it. do you guys ignore that "advice" and use stuff anyway on bags were 'no' product is recommended?

Look on page 244 of this thread, post #3660. Corduroyshoes has it in her collection.

I find it interesting that the "stock" photos of these show the bags with scratches all over them. Zoom in, it's crazy! I guess they're trying to prepare us for how delicate the leather is?

It's probably crazy, but I kind of like that "lived in" look. I feel really conspicuous when I'm carrying an obviously brand new bag.

This leather reminds me of the smooth lambskin Givenchy uses... except half the cost. ;) I have a Nightingale with that super soft lambskin; it's definitely more prone to scratches than a pebbled leather, but they even out with conditioner.

I am really excited about this bag, and hope I can find one to try on in store before committing to buy, though I know that my local store will accept a return if I order online... My only concern is that the strap might be too long for me at 5'2" (I don't want to wear it cross body). Just need to get my hands on one to be sure. If I truly love it, shortening the strap or having a cobbler punch extra holes in it might be a solution.

I agree, I like that distressed look as well. Just weird for them to show anything less than perfection in a stock photo. Maybe that's what they're going for? I haven't felt that leather yet, I bet it's yummy.

I noticed that too! And if they can't find a perfect bag for their photos, what will the one they send me look like :shucks:

But Coach isn't alone in this I've also seen at Dooney and Bourke on their Alto leather bag photos!

I just got this bag and there aren't scratches all over it but it looks like it has a little head start on its weathering. It is a stunning bag and I think coach is trying to show people what it will do with time so there are no surprises. I have the olive gray nappa too and that leather is actually baby butt soft

Yes!! I do! It's leather...and can get dry! I also feel this protects the leather as well. It's a leather moisturizer made for leather...it won't hurt it. As long as its not suede! Lol...

Does anyone remember the original price of the large Borough bag in pebbled leather? I know there was a price increase since first generation of the med pebbled bags (548 to 598) but did the large pebbled Boroughs get an increase too?

I ask because here in Canada we got hit with two types of increases (I think). We used to pay Coach msrp in CAD same as USD but now, the duty of approx $50 is on top of each and every handbag.

So the large pebbled Borough is $880 cad but The Bay is clearing them out at 25% off, so it's $660 CAD - still not a huge discount considering how it's already marked up in Canada.

The large pebbled Borough is $798 USD on the website - was this the original price or the new price for 2014? Does anyone know?

Pretty sure $798 was the original US price for the large pebbled Borough and it was only the mediums that went up in price.
